Read this recipe in a magazine many years ago. I think it tastes better then the overly sugared pre-made stuff you get in Hawaii. Or as most people have been introduced to it, the glass of it on all inner island flights on Hawaiian Air. Makes a pretty decent booze mixer too ;-)

- Remove seeds from passion fruit. Mix with 2 cups water and quickly run through blender for about 3 seconds, just to separate seeds from juice. Strain seeds and fibers from juice with a wire mesh colander.
- Cut the hard ends off of the guavas then chop each into small chunks. Place in blender with ½ cup water and puree until smooth.

- In a blend, process the passion fruit pulp on medium-low speed to bread up the seeds and purée the pulp (skip this Steps 1 and 2 if using store-bought passion fruit purée, just add the purée directly to the blender in Step 3).
- Pour the juice over ice, and drink! Add a splash of whiskey or rum for an extra nice treat. Or blend in a handful of ice cubes to turn this into a slushy drink (pretty wonderful on a hot day) ^_^
