1 pound Italian sausage
1 pound ground beef
15 ounces tomato sauce
1 can sliced mushrooms (drained)
2 teaspoons dried oregano
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ cup shredded cheese
6 hamburger buns (or English muffins)

Steps:

  • Brown meat and drain,
  • Add tomato sauce, mushrooms, oregano, and garlic salt to the meat and mix well.
  • Place the top and bottom buns on a baking sheet, inside up.
  • Spoon meat mixture onto the buns or English muffins.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and bake until bubbly. More cheese can be added if desired.

1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 jar (14 oz) pepperoni-flavored or regular pizza sauce
1/2 cup sliced ripe olives, if desired
6 sandwich buns, split
1 cup shredded pizza cheese blend (4 oz)

Steps:

  • In 10-inch skillet, cook beef, onion and bell pepper over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
  • Stir in pizza sauce and olives. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon about 1/2 cup beef mixture on bottom half of each bun. Immediately sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of the cheese; add tops of bun. Serve immediately or let stand about 2 minutes until cheese is melted.

1 pound ground beef
1 pound Italian sausage (a little more is fine!)
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
12 slices provolone
16 slices pepperoni
Thinly sliced red onion, for topping
1 green bell pepper, sliced thick
Sliced black olives, for topping
8 tablespoons jarred marinara sauce, plus a little more
4 kaiser rolls or good hamburger buns (kaiser rolls from the bakery section)
Butter, for toasting
Grated Parmesan (store bought)

Steps:

  • Combine the ground beef, Italian sausage and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Knead the mixture together and form it into four large/thick patties.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the burgers on one side for several minutes, then turn the burgers. Lay 2 slices of provolone on each patty, followed by 4 slices of pepperoni. Add a couple of thin slices of red onion, a slice of green bell pepper and a pile of black olives. Spoon a little marinara sauce on top, then lay another slice of cheese on top of all the fillings.
  • Place the lid on the skillet and allow the burgers to cook all the way through while the cheese melts and the pepperoni warms.
  • Split the rolls and toast them in butter in a skillet until nice and golden and crisp. Spread both halves with more marinara sauce and sprinkle the sauce with Parmesan.
  • Lay the patties on the bottom buns, then top with the top buns. Serve immediately; hearty appetites are recommended!

1/2 lb extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped onion (1/2 medium)
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 can (4 oz) mushroom pieces and stems, drained, if desired
4 English muffins, split
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)

Steps:

  • In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in tomato paste, Italian seasoning and mushrooms. Cover and refrigerate; use within 3 days.
  • To prepare each sandwich, spread about 1/4 cup beef mixture on English muffin half. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons cheese over top. Place on microwavable napkin or paper towel (to absorb moisture).

1 med onion chopped
1 tsp cooking oil
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can(s) (10)oz tomato soup
1/4 c water
1 Tbsp italian seasoning
3 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp garlic salt
32 slice pepperoni (chopped)
2 c shredded mozzerella

Steps:

  • 1. Start by adding the onions and a drizzle of canola or vegetable oil in a large skillet on medium high heat. Heat through. Add the ground beef and cook all the way through,. Once the meat is cooked,add chopped pepperoni, add the tomato soup, water and pizza seasoning. Reduce to low and let simmer.
  • 2. While the meat and sauce are simmering, preheat the oven on broil and spread the butter evenly on each English muffin half. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Pop these under the broiler on a cookie sheet for about 2 minutes or until they begin to brown just on the edges.
  • 3. Take out of the oven and top each English muffin with about 1/4 cup of the meat and sauce mixture. Top each of those with the cheese. Place back under the broiler for another 2-3 minutes or until the cheese turns golden brown and bubbly. Enjoy!

6 tablespoons pizza sauce

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Prepare and heat an outdoor gas or charcoal grill for medium heat.
  • Combine ground beef, Italian seasoning, and salt in a large bowl and mix gently. Form into 12 thin patties and place on waxed paper.
  • Combine pepperoni, 1/3 cup of the pizza sauce, mustard, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Divide this mixture among 6 patties within 1/2-inch of patty edges.
  • Top filling with remaining patties and press edges together to seal.

1 lb hamburger
6 ounces luncheon meat, grated (Spam)
2 cups spaghetti sauce (use Ragu)
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese (about 1/2 pound) or 2 cups American cheese (about 1/2 pound)
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
12 plain hamburger buns
1 cup grated cheese, for topping burgers before baking (I like using a combination of American and Mozzarella cheese)

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger; drain fat. Add grated luncheon meat; saute 1-2 minutes. Stir in rest of ingredients till combined and the cheese has completely melted. Place all hamburger bun halves onto cookie sheets. Add desired amount of sauce onto each bun and sprinkle with the grated American and mozzarella cheeses. 1 teaspoon salt

4 slices mozzarella cheese
4 fresh hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Combine beef, tomato paste, salt, sugar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pepper, and oregano in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate to let flavors marry, about 4 hours.
