PIZZA HUT ORIGINAL PAN PIZZA

Steps:
- Combine sauce ingredients and let sit for 1 hour.
- Put yeast, sugar, salt, and dry milk in a large bowl.
- Add water and stir to mix well.
- Let rest for two minutes.
- Add oil and stir again.
- Add flour and stir until dough forms and flour is absorbed.
- Turn out on to a flat floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until elastic and no longer sticky.
- Divide dough into three balls.
- Put 3 ounces of oil in each of three 9-inch cake pans, making sure it is spread evenly.
- Using a rolling pin, roll out each dough ball to about a 9-inch circle.
- Place in cake pans.
- Spray the outer edge of dough with Pam and cover with a plate.
- Place in warm area and allow to rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 475°F.
- For each 9" pizza, spoon 1/3 cup sauce on dough and spread to within 1-inch of edge.
- Distribute 1 1/2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese on sauce.
- Place toppings of your choice in this order: Pepperoni or ham, vegetables, meats (cooked ground sausage or beef) Top with 3 ounces mozzarella cheese.
- Cook until cheese is bubbling and outer crust is brown.
- Serve hot.
PIZZA HUT STYLE PIZZA DOUGH (BREAD MACHINE)
I came across the recipe from a copy cat recipe source. The 2 hours includes dough cycle time. This is one of the best pizza dough recipes I have found.

- Add ingredients (except for cornmeal) to machine bread pan in order as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Set to "Dough" cycle.
- Lightly grease one 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle with cornmeal.
- When the dough cycle is complete, roll out dough and place in pan.
- Let rest in pans for 10-15 minutes.
- Add toppings of your choice.
- Bake at 350°F until done (approximately 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of toppings).
- I make the pizza in 9x13 rectangular pans rather than the round pizza pans, because the squares pieces are easier to reheat and pack in school lunches.

BREADSTICKS - PIZZA HUT STYLE
Under orders from the teenagers in the house, I created recipes for their favourite take out breadsticks and dipping sauce. The dough can easily be made up in the bread machine. The sauce has been posted separately as Dipping Sauce - Pizza Hut Style.

- Add the dough ingredients to the bread machine in the order given, and set to first rise.
- When this has finished, roll the dough out into a rectangle which is 1/2-3/4 inch thick.
- With a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 1x4 inch strips.
- Place on greased cookie sheets and allow the bread sticks to rise until doubled.
- Meanwhile, stir the topping seasonings together with the parmesan cheese.
- Brush the breadsticks heavily with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with the topping. I use an empty spice bottle to shake it on evenly.
- Bake the bread sticks at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.

- Mix cheeses with the mayonnaise and the green onions. Add dash of salt to taste and set aside or keep in refrigerator until you need it. Cut loaf of bread in half, then each half into half again. Working 1/4 loaf at a time, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet and add 1/4 of the minced garlic. Place 1 of the 1/4 loaves face down in the skillet, swirling it to soak up the butter and garlic. Allow bread to toast in the skillet, removing garlic if it starts to get too brown. Repeat with remaining butter, garlic, and bread. Spread cheese mixture on warm loaves and bake in a 425°F oven until cheese is hot and bubbly, about 10 minutes. Slice and serve.

- Preheat oven to 350°F Dissolve yeast in the warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add sugar, milk and salt. Add enough flour to make a soupy like mixture. Add the rest of the flour, enough to form a moderately stiff dough. Knead the dough until smooth. (Or you can use a Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook). Roll the dough into the size and shape of your baking pan. Spread half of the butter onto the bottom of the pan and then place the dough into the pan. Let rise in warm, draft-free place for 15 minutes. Spread remaining butter on the top of the dough. Top dough with mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, parmesan, salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 or until golden brown. Cut into breadsticks and serve with marinara sauce.

- For the dough: Combine the yeast, sugar, salt, and dry milk in a 2-quart size mixing bowl. Add the water and stir to mix. Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes or until the yeast starts to bubble. Add the oil to the dough mixture and stir to combine. Add the flour in one cup increments, stirring after each addition, until a dough forms and the flour is all combined. Turn the dough out onto a flat, lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes. Divide the dough into three equal balls. Place about 3 ounces of oil in the bottom of each 9-inch cake pan or cast iron skillet. Tilt the pans to spread the oil evenly. Using a rolling pin, roll out each ball of dough to a 9-inch circle and place in the prepared pans. Lightly coat each dough disk with cooking spray or oil and cover with plastic wrap. Let cool for 2-3 minutes then remove from the pans to a cutting board and cut into wedges using a pizza cutter.

- Preheat oven to 425ºF.
- Unroll pizza dough on to a cookie sheet.
- With a pizza cutter, cut dough lengthwise into 12 long strips. Then cut those in half to make 24 strips. Do not separate strips.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Combine parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil and salt.
- Remove breadsticks from oven and brush with half of the melted butter and sprinkle with half of the seasoning.
- Bake an additional 5 minutes.

- Place the 1/2 cup of warm water and yeast together in a medium bowl and whisk together briefly. Allow the yeast enough time to bubble up and become active, this should take a few minutes. If the yeast is inactive, you may need to replace the yeast and try again.
- Add room temperature water and oil to the yeast mixture and stir to combine. Into a food processor bowl pour in flour and salt, pulse to combine. Add yeast, olive oil, and water through the tube of the food processor and process. The dough will form into a ball. Process until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place dough in a bowl and cover the dough with plastic wrap, and allow to rise until doubled in size, this should take about 30 to 40 minutes.
- The dough may be a little sticky when you cover it. The dough may be sticky so when you roll it out into a rectangular shape you may need to flour the board and the rolling pin when you roll it out. Spray a baking sheet with some not stick spray. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of semolina flour, this is optional, this will help with the crust to be more authentic. In a small bowl combine garlic powder with melted butter. Brush melted garlic butter onto a pizza.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over cheese bread dough and then top the dough with shredded Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into slices before serving. You can serve this with your favorite pizza or marina sauce
