PITTED SWEET CHERRIES AND PINEAPPLE IN A CLOUD
This is a nice, sweet dish for any occasion. My teenage granddaughter requests this at all of our holiday dinners. ENJOY!

Steps:
- Mix sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice until blended. Add all other ingredients. Let set several hours or overnight. (If you don't like nuts, you can omit them).

My mother called this 'Cherry Cloud Salad,' but in the 70's and 80's everything was a salad! These days most people call it a dessert, as it's very sweet and rich.

Another recipe featuring curry from a friend of mine. This one is just amazing. I think its my favorite desert of all time. You can serve it just as a hot fruit side dish or spoon it over ice cream or pound cake. You have to try it to appreciate it.

Steps:
- 1. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. In a greased 2-qt. baking dish, combine the pineapple, cherries, pears and peaches. Combine the brown sugar, butter, curry, cinnamon, nutmeg and reserved juice; pour over fruit. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 35-45 minutes or until heated through.
- 2. I like to serve this from a crock pot which keeps the fruit hot. Try it over a good quality vanilla ice cream.

- Put cherry preserves in a small bowl and microwave until warm (about 20 seconds). Pour cherry preserves over fresh cherries and mix together, then set aside.
- Beat cream cheese in the bowl of an eclectic mixer, or with a hand held mixer, until smooth. Add powdered sugar and milk and continue mixing until fully incorporated and smooth. Fold Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture and stir gently until fully combined. Spoon or into dessert dishes (or fill a piping bag with mixture and pipe into dessert dishes). Use a spoon to make a well in the center of the cream cheese filling, and fill with cherry topping.
- Chill prepared dessert in the refrigerator until ready to serve. This dessert may be prepared up to a couple hours in advance.
