I have not tried this pie. I'm posting this for safe keeping. I found this in Taste Of Home Quick Cooking 2005.

1 1/2 cups cold milk
3 ounces vanilla instant pudding mix
8 ounces crushed pineapple, well drained
9 inches graham cracker pie crust
1 1/2 cups whipped topping
1/2 cup flaked coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • In a bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft set. Fold in pineapple.
  • Pour into crust. Spread with whipped topping. Sprinkle with coconut.
  • Cover and refrigerate until serving.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine pineapple, dry pudding mix, and sugar. Stir well, then add sour cream. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes.
  • Pour mixture into prepared pie shell. Chill before serving. Garnish as desired.

1 banana, sliced

Steps:

  • Make pudding according to directions.
  • Add pudding to crust.
  • Place banana, pineapple and strawberries on pie then top with cool whip.
  • For a less fattening way, use skim milk for the pudding and use sugar-free pudding.
  • Both ways are great.

1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip
1 9-inch graham cracker crust
toasted coconut (optional)

  • In large bowl combine pineapple and juice with instant vanilla pudding, whisk together until mixed good.
