Pineapple Pretzel Fluff is an easy to make dessert salad that's both sweet and salty with a little crunch.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup crushed pretzels
1/2 cup butter, (melted)
1 cup granulated sugar, (divided)
8 ounces cream cheese, (softened)
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, (drained)
1 (12-ounce) container Cool Whip, (thawed)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together pretzel pieces, butter, and 1/2 cup sugar. Transfer mixture to prepared baking pan. Press down gently on it and spread it out some. It does not need to cover the bottom of the pan.
  • Bake for 7 minutes. Let cool.
  • In a large bowl, use a hand-held mixer to beat cream cheese and remaining 1/2 cup sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Fold in Pineapple and Cool Whip. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Just before serving, crumble the pretzel mixture and mix into pineapple mixture. I like to reserve some of it to sprinkle on top.

1 250g package cream cheese, softened
1 19oz can crushed pineapple, drained
1 1/2 cups Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into an 9 inch baking dish. Bake for 7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Stir in pineapple and Cool Whip.
  • Break pretzel mixture into pieces and stir into cream cheese mixture. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl, combine pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into a 13-in.x9-in.x2-in.baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees F for 7 minutes. Cool.Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until creamy. Fold in pineapple and whipped topping;chill until serving. Break pretzel mixture into small pieces; stir into pineapple mixture.

Can be used for a party dip for pretzels or a side salad depending on your choice. I usually double this recipe for parties. If you want to use for a dip for pretzels, one batch should be enough. I recommend crushing the pretzels using a rolling pin. I recommend not to add pretzel mixture to pineapple mixture until ready to serve.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup white sugar
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
1 cup crushed pretzels
½ cup butter, melted
⅓ cup white sugar

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar together in a bowl; add pineapple and mix well. Fold whipped topping into pineapple mixture; refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  • Combine pretzels, butter, and 1/3 cup sugar in a bowl until evenly coated; spread onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until pretzel mixture holds together like toffee, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove pan from oven and cool. Break pretzel mixture into pieces and mix into pineapple mixture.

No one seemed to remember it. I searched and searched my recipes until I finally found it. In the interest of never losing it again, I'm posting it here.

1 cup sugar, divided
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

  • In a bowl, combine pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Cool.
