PINA GHOULADA
A frothy drink made with pineapple juice, heavy cream, cream of coconut, orange juice, and rum is sure to be tempting. But serve it in a red-rimmed glass and it's bloody fantastic for Halloween. The "blood" is made from corn syrup mixed with red food coloring, which tinges the classic pina colada with a devilish sweetness.

Steps:
- Pour the corn syrup in a shallow bowl. Dip a toothpick into the food coloring, and stir a very small amount into the syrup to combine. Hold a glass by the stem, dip rim into the syrup mixture, and turn glass slowly, coating entire rim. Turn the glass upright, allowing mixture to drip down sides. Dip the remaining glasses. Set aside.
- Whisk together drink ingredients. Place 2 1/2 cups ice in a blender, and add 1 cup drink mixture. Blend until smooth; add more pineapple juice if mixture is too thick. Repeat with remaining ice and mixture. Carefully pour into prepared glasses; serve.
HALLOWEEN PINA GHOULADA
From Martha Stewart Living - Celebrate Halloween with Martha Stewart. A frothy drink is tempting enough, but one served in a red-rimmed glass is particularly enticing to monsters who drink blood. Corn syrup with food coloring tinges the classic piña colada with a devilish sweetness. Dip the rim of each glass into the red mixture, spinning slowly to coat (below). Turn glasses upright; the red liquid will drip slightly, then set. Pour drinks, and serve. Drinkers' lips may be stained pink-much like those of a sated vampire.

PINA GHOULADA
I got this recipe from the Martha Stewart website. With a twist to that favorite tropical pina colada cocktail, this becomes the perfect Halloween cocktail or mocktail for nearly any party theme. It's acceptable even for a kids party, because you can easily prepare the drink mix without the alcohol, and it's still a tasty beverage that most kids really like. All it is simply adding a twist to that all-time favorite cocktail (or mocktail)--the pina colada--by adding a "dripping blood" effect to the glasses. These will be the perfect complement to your Halloween buffet table.

Steps:
- Pour the corn syrup into a shallow bowl.
- Dip a toothpick into the red food coloring, and stir a very small amount of the food coloring into the corn syrup; stir until it looks like blood.
- Hold one glass by the stem, and dip the rim of the glass into the red syrup and turn the glass to coat the entire rim.
- Turn glass upright. Allow the syrup to drip down the sides of the glass (to resemble dripping blood). Dip the remaining glass in the same manner. Set the glasses aside.
- To make the pina colada mix, whisk together the pineapple juice, cream of coconut, cream, orange juice and rum (if using).
- Place about 2 to 2 1/2 cups of ice cubes in a blender, and add 1 cup of the drink mixture. Blend until smooth. Add more pineapple juice (not more pina colada mix) if mixture is too thick.
- Carefully pour the pina colada mix into the cocktail glasses, being careful not to disrupt the "bloody" red rims.
- Repeat with remaining drink mixture and ice.

- Shake cream of coconut and coconut milk in their cans before measuring. Purée pineapple, cream of coconut, coconut milk, white rum, lime juice, and 3 cups ice (about 15 oz.) in a blender until smooth. Transfer blender cup to freezer and freeze until mixture is thickened (it should be the consistency of a milkshake), 25–35 minutes.
- Blend again until mixture is the perfect slushy frozen drink consistency. Divide among glasses. Top off each with ½ oz. dark rum, if using, and garnish each with a cherry and lime wedge. Do Ahead: Pineapple can be chopped 3 months ahead. Keep frozen.
