3 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
3 cups cranberry-apple juice, I use Ocean Spray Drink
1 cup water
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 lemon slices
2 (4 inch) cinnamon sticks, broken
1 1/2 teaspoons whole cloves
7 cinnamon sticks (optional)

Steps:

  • Pour juices and water into a percolator.
  • Place brown sugar, lemon slices, cinnamon sticks and cloves in percolator basket.
  • Perk through complete cycle of electric percolator.
  • Serve with additional cinnamon sticks, if desired.

Can not remember where I got this recipe from, but lost it for many years. When my mom was moving last year, she cleaned out her recipe box and found my original copy. Glad to have it again! A great addition to Winter Open House.

1 gallon apple cider
32 ounces ginger ale
3/4 cup red-hot candies
24 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks

Steps:

  • Pour Apple Cider and Ginger Ale in bottom of 30-cup percolator.
  • Place Red-Hots, cloves, and cinnamon sticks.
  • in percolator basket.
  • Let perk.
  • Makes 30 cups Hot punch.

This is a nice warm-up punch. I like to serve it when there is a nip in the air. The aroma of the apple cider, orange juice and spices is wonderful as the punch simmers in the slow cooker. -Susan Smith, Forest, Virginia

4 cups apple cider or unsweetened apple juice
2-1/4 cups water
1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
Orange slices and additional cinnamon sticks, optional

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the apple cider, water, orange juice concentrate, nutmeg and ginger. Place cloves and cinnamon sticks on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag. Place bag in slow cooker. , Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until heated through. Remove and discard spice bag. Garnish with orange slices and additional cinnamon sticks if desired.

I used to make this for every holiday gathering- and always used at church suppers.'This can be made in a large 30 cup percolator(coffee maker). Other drinks can be made this way also. Like evergreen punch, Russian tea red satin punch,Harvard punch, party punch, golden glow punch, Christmas punch, cranberry -cherry punch...

SMALL BATCH: 8-12 CUPS
2 1/2 c pineapple juice, unsweetened
2 c cranberry juice, unsweetened
1/2 Tbsp whole all-spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 c water
1 Tbsp whole cloves
3 stick cinnamon
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed

Steps:

  • 1. Pour pineapple juice, water and cranberry juice into an 8-12 cup coffee maker. Place remaining ingredients in the basket fitter in the basket. Set heat control on "strong" and complete perking cycle. Hold on "mild" setting. Serve hot in mugs or heatproof punch cups. This punch is delicious and just right for teen gatherings, church socials,etc......
  • 2. Large batch: 30 cups. 10 c. pineapple juice 8 c. cranberry juice 2 T. whole allspice 1/2 teas. salt 10 c. water 4 T. whole cloves 12 sticks cinnamon 1 c. brown sugar,packed Prepare as above- Using a large 30 cup coffee maker.
