BOURBON PECAN PIE MILKSHAKES
The blend of bourbon, pecan pie and vanilla ice cream turns into wonderful milkshake that's ready in 10 minutes.

Steps:
- In blender, place ice cream, milk and brandy. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Add pie chunks; cover and blend until smooth, stopping blender to scrape down sides if necessary.
- Pour into 2 glasses; top with sweetened whipped cream and pecans. Serve immediately.

When I started to think about "cookies and cream" as a flavor, it made me consider "cake shakes" as a milk shake flavor and "pie shakes," meaning I wanted to make milk shakes with some of the components or flavors of some of my cake and pie recipes. Luckily you don't have to make a pecan pie to make this milk shake. You can have all the flavors by adding ingredients that make the flavors of pecan pie.

- Whisk together the condensed milk, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a bowl.

- Bake for 30-35 minutes, covering with foil if necessary to prevent over browning, until filling is set and golden. Set aside for 10 minutes or until firm.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In medium mixing bowl beat eggs lightly with a rotary beater or fork. Stir in corn syrup, sugar, and butter; mix well. Stir in pecan and chocolate pieces.
- To prevent overbrowning, cover edges of pie shell with aluminum foil. Place pie shell on oven rack and pour filling into it.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil from crust edges and bake an additional 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Chill before serving. May be served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

- Preheat oven to 350°. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Trim crust to 1/2 in. beyond rim of plate; flute edge. Refrigerate while preparing filling., In a Dutch oven or large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add pecans; cook, stirring constantly, until very fragrant and pecans start to brown, 4-5 minutes. Remove pecans with a slotted spoon, reserving butter in pan. Stir in brown sugar, maple syrup, and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. In a bowl, whisk a small amount of the hot mixture into eggs; return all to the pan, whisking constantly. Stir whiskey, optional, and vanilla into brown sugar mixture; stir in pecans. Pour into crust. , Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 55-60 minutes. Cover edges with foil during the last 30 minutes to prevent overbrowning if necessary. Cool on a wire rack. If desired, top with whipped cream and cinnamon. Refrigerate leftovers.

- In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, margarine, milk, vanilla and eggs. Blend until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour into pie crust. Place whole pecan meats gently on top in decorative manner.
