BEST PEAS RECIPE
This peas recipe takes just 5 minutes! Cooking frozen peas with garlic and lemon makes them taste incredible. It's an easy side dish that everyone loves!

Steps:
- Rinse the peas under warm water and shake off excess liquid.
- Smash and peel the garlic cloves.
- Add the butter and olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the smashed garlic and frozen peas and cook for 2 minutes until warmed through but still bright green.
- Season with the kosher salt, fresh ground pepper and lemon zest. Discard the garlic cloves and serve immediately.

APPLES IN PAJAMAS
Crunchy sliced fried apples that are served at breakfast (usually) with cinnamon and sugar. Commonly served in Israel. Given to me by a good friend. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

- In a shallow bowl, stir together the flour and salt. Whisk in the eggs, 1 tablespoon of oil, milk, and water until batter is smooth. The batter should be just thick enough to stick to the apples and coat them. If the batter is too thin, more flour may be added. If the batter does not want to stick, toss the apples with a bit of flour.
- Heat one inch of vegetable oil in a deep heavy skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Coat apple slices with batter, and place 4 or 5 slices into the hot oil at a time. Fry until golden on one side, then use tongs to flip and fry until brown on the other side. Drain on paper towels. Stir together the cinnamon and sugar; sprinkle over the apple slices before serving.

PEAS AND PAJAMAS
I love peas. I also love pajamas and I like eating things in my pajamas. I could and have eaten these peas alone, all to myself. They are nice, in the word of dumb and dumber I like them a lot! (but not as much as jam). I got the recipe from Nigella Feast and it has contributed to me getting fat- er I think

- Heat the butter and oil in a pan and add the garlic. Sauté for a couple of minutes on a medium heat.
- Add the frozen peas stock cube, little gem lettuce and water. Bring to the boil and simmer until the water is reduce into a thin sauce of some kind.
- Eat on their own hiding in a darken room away from naughty husband who will steal my comfort food, or share with mash and chicken or veggie roasts.
