PEANUT BUTTER CRISPY RICE TREATS

Steps:
- Lightly butter a 13- by 9-inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low to medium-low heat until light brown specks start to form and the butter starts to smell nutty, 10 to 12 minutes. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter until melted. Add the puffed rice cereal and peanuts. Stir until well coated.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Cool completely.
- Meanwhile, place the chocolate in a medium heatproof bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals until the chocolate is melted.
- Drizzle the chocolate over the cooled crispy rice treats and sprinkle with flaked sea salt if desired. Cut into 18 bars.

- mix together flour,oatmeal, and peanut butter.
- add hot water to make firm dough. Use more water if dough is too dry.
- Knead dough on a floured surface. a counter works well.
- Roll dough with a rolling pin or flatten with your hands until it is about a 1/4 inch thick. Keep a little flour in case the rolling pin or your hands get sticky.
- cut dough with your favorite cookie cutter.
- grease a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
- place biscuits on cookie sheet.
- bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes
- let biscuits cool for an hour and put in the fridge.

- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large saucepan melt the butter, mini marshmallows and peanut butter together over low heat while stirring gently.
- Once melted, remove from the heat and stir in the Rice Krispies.
- Press the mixture into the pan (lightly spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray to avoid the mixture sticking to your hands).
- Add the chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate) to a medium-sized heatproof bowl. Microwave for 45-second intervals on medium power (not high or standard), stirring in between each burst.
- Once almost melted, stir until smooth and stir in the vegetable oil.
- Pour the chocolate over the top of the bars and let harden at room temperature (about 2 hours).
- Cut into squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature.

- Preheat oven to 250°
- If using oatmeal, place it in a food processor and blend until most of the oats are ground. I left some oats whole, but you can process it as much as you want. The cookies are easier to cut if most of the oats are processed.
- If using another grain, combine the grain, peanut butter, and fruit or vegetable in a food processor and process until the dough comes together.
- Roll dough 1/4" thick, using flour if the dough is sticky.
- Cut out using a cookie cutter or cut into squares.
- Place cookies on cookie sheets and bake at 250° for 2 hours until the dog treats are completely dry and crispy.
- Once dog treats are fully dehydrated, they can be stored at room temperature. Mine sit out at room temperature for at least a month without getting moldy, but you do need to make sure to fully dehydrate them.

- Place an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F. Spray a heavy baking sheet with vegetable oil cooking spray or line with a silicon baking mat. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats and baking powder. Stir in the broth and peanut butter until the mixture forms a crumbly dough. Press the dough together to form a ball.
- On a lightly floured work surface, knead the dough for 30 seconds until smooth. Roll out the dough into a 10-inch circle, about 1/2-inch thick.
