Yummy Peanut Butter Bread image

I am a nine year old third grader and made up this recipe with a little help from mom. It is really good with a thin layer of peanut butter spread on it. I hope you enjoy it!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 egg
3 cups bread flour
1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Place ingredients in bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select white bread setting. Start.
  • To bake bread in oven: select dough or manual cycle. Once cycle is complete, shape dough and place in a greased loaf pan. Allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in the center of the loaf reads 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).

1 cup plus 1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons yeast (bread machine)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Measuring carefully, place the water, peanut butter, bread flour, brown sugar, salt, and bread machine yeast in the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Select "Sweet" or "Basic/White" cycle. Use "Medium" or "Light Crust Color" and turn the machine on. When the bread is finished it should be a dark gold color and should sound hollow when you tap it with your fingers. You can also test the temperature of the bread; it should be about 210 F.
  • Carefully remove the bread from the bread machine pan and cool on a wire rack.

No-Yeast Peanut Butter Bread image

Nonstick cooking spray or softened butter, for greasing
1 1/3 cups milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup peanut butter chips
Three 1.55-ounce chocolate bars, such as Hershey's

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Generously grease a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or butter. Line with a strip of parchment paper so that it hangs over the narrow ends of the loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and peanut butter until well blended. Add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and fold to combine. Fold in the peanut butter chips.
  • Pour enough batter into the prepared loaf pan to fill it halfway up the sides. Place an even layer of chocolate bars on top of the batter and then top with the remaining batter. Bake until a cake tester comes out just clean, about 40 minutes. Let cool for 1 hour, then remove from the loaf pan.
