Steps:

  • Put all ingredients in pan according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Use the whole wheat bread, large loaf cycle.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Use a fork to blend in peanut butter and oil. Add egg and milk; mix well. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon peanut butter
3 teaspoons active dry yeast
2/3 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Layer 1 1/4 cups water, white bread flour, brown sugar, salt, 1/2 cup peanut butter, and yeast in the bread machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. 2. Set machine at basic/white setting. 3. Let bake according to the machine setting then remove from the baking pan and allow to cool. 4. Stir together 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and 4 teaspoons water and drizzle over the cooled bread. 5. If desired, place the bread in the fridge for a few minutes to harden the glaze a bit. 6. Slice and serve.

  • Select "Sweet" or "Basic/White" cycle. Use "Medium" or "Light Crust Color" and turn the machine on. When the bread is finished it should be a dark gold color and should sound hollow when you tap it with your fingers. You can also test the temperature of the bread; it should be about 210 F.
  • Carefully remove the bread from the bread machine pan and cool on a wire rack.
