Ingredients

1 apple
1 tablespoon peanut butter (or other nut butter)
1/4 cup topping (such as granola, cereal, toasted coconut, or a combination of these)

Steps:

Core apple. Cut a thin slice off top and bottom, and discard. Slice apple crosswise into 3 thick rings. Dividing evenly, spread one side of the rings with peanut butter.
Sprinkle rings with topping and pat on gently.

Ingredients

1 granny smith apple
3 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 cup Honey Bunches of Oats cereal (or your choice of cereal)

Steps:

Wash apple. With a knife or apple corer, remove the core of the apple.
Slice into rings about 1/4 inch thick so that the apple has a hole in the middle.
Spread smooth or crunch peanut butter on one side of each apple ring.
Place on plate and sprinkle with Honey bunches of oats cereal, or any cereal of your choice.
Enjoy!

To make the granola: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Combine brown sugar and 1 Tbsp water in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or until sugar is dissolved. Stir in oil and cinnamon. Add oats and pecans, stirring until coated. Spread oat mixture on a large rimmed baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 300 degrees F for 30 minutes or until browned, stirring twice. Spread mixture in a single layer on wax paper to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
For apple rings: Place 1 cup of the granola mixture in a small dish. Combine peanut butter and honey in a small bowl, stirring until smooth. Spread mixture evenly on 1 side of each apple slice. Sprinkle evenly with granola. Enjoy!
