Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the brown sugar, white sugar, butter, and peanut butter.
- Add the eggs, salt, baking soda, rolled oats, and flour. Blend until until it is all mixed together.
- Spread on a large 15x9 inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes, no longer, and let cool completely.
- After cooled spread a thin layer of peanut butter on top of the cookie. I use about 1/2 cup and soften it in the microwave so it is easier to spread.
- For the frosting, melt butter and add the cocoa. Remove from heat and add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Mix together very well and spread the final frosting layer on the very top. Also I have found that if you let the bars chill with the frosting in the fridge for an hour, the frosting will set up faster so that you can consume them quicker. :)

PEANUT BUTTER ALPEN BARS
This is a recipe that I sort of made up using healthy ingredients that I like and want my children to eat. I warn you, they are addicting, especially if you LOVE peanut butter. I have tried other protien bar recipes but like the crunchiness that these bars afford. Plus with the powdered milk, you have calcium, too! Do try to use the brand names that I mention, they are healthy, high in protien, vitamins, and have no trans fats. ENJOY.

Steps:
- I bought all my ingredients except the Alpen at Wal----.
- Get out the mixer right now because there is no way that you can mix these ingredients well enough by hand.
- Put all ingredients in the bowl, mixing slowly at first until just about blended.
- Using a paddle or spoon, carefully fold melted chocolate chips into mix and mix and mix until well blended.
- Dump contents unto wax paper, topping with another piece of wax paper and press into about a 7" square.
- Slice into whatever size bar you like (I aim for around 21) remembering that peanut butter is extremely fattening.
- Refridgerate AFTER SLICING.

- Meatball Subs From Subway. It’s not exactly shocking for a fast food place to switch up their recipes for certain items, but that doesn’t make it any better.
- Cadbury Chocolate In The United Kingdom. If you live in the U.K., you many have noticed that much of the chocolate has changed in the last few years. User do_you_smoke_paul said the food that used to be good was, “Half the chocolate in the U.K., since Cadbury’s got bought by Kraft.”
- Chips Ahoy. Chips Ahoy used to be the gold standard for store-bought chocolate chip cookies, but many now agree that they just aren’t the same. User Plankyz said, “I’m not sure if it’s because I’m older now.

- Tim Horton’s Menu. Tim Horton’s fans came out in droves to the thread to all say the same thing: The items there just aren’t the same anymore. User DangerousPuhson said, “All Canadians ought to agree when I say: Everything at Tim Horton’s.”
- Turkey Hill Peanut Butter Ice Cream. Sometimes it’s just one product that changes instead of an entire brand. For example, user sponge-worthy- said that the food they noticed the most change in was, “Turkey Hill Peanut butter ice cream.
- Campbell’s Clam Chowder. If you used to love Campbell’s Clam Chowder, maybe you’ll agree on this popular opinion. User ScoobyDont06 said, “It used to be thick and have plenty of clams, a decade or so ago they changed it to be watery and have more potatoes.”
- Macaroni And Cheese From Boston Market. Many of the Reddit users in the thread felt that the mac and cheese from Boston Market was different. User optimisticdaringme said, “Boston Market mac and cheese used to be awesome, but I think they changed their recipe for the cheese sauce a few years ago and it hasn’t been the same.”

- Stir the peanut butter, honey and coconut oil together in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches a simmer. Continue to simmer for 1 minute, stirring often so that the bottom of the mixture does not burn. Remove from the heat.
- Add the vanilla and salt, and stir until combined. Add in the oats and almonds, and stir until completely combined. (Optional step: If you would like the chocolate chips not to melt, I recommend chilling transferring the granola to the refrigerator at this point for about 15 minutes, or until it reaches room temperature.) Then stir in the chocolate chips until combined.
- Press the granola firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. (I use the bottom of a measuring cup to help press it down so that it’s nice and flat.) Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top if you would like. Then cover and refrigerate the granola bars for about an hour or so, or until they are chilled.
