- Heat griddle or skillet to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of one slice of bread, and jelly on the other. Place one slice, buttered side down on the griddle. Top with other slice, so that peanut butter and jelly are in the middle. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, and heated through.

- Gather the ingredients.
- Prepare peanut butter sandwich using desired jelly or jam . Make sure it isn't too runny because the sandwich will be heated and jam could leak out.
- Heat a frying pan to melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Tilt pan so butter covers pan evenly. This is key to get a perfectly crispy crust on the bread.
- Butter one side of sandwich. Place buttered-side down in the pan. If possible, place a steak weight or bacon press on sandwich so it cooks evenly. When one side is golden brown, butter other side. Turn sandwich over and place weight back on sandwich. The second side will cook faster because sandwich is already heated.

- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Mix heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, vanilla, and eggs together and set aside.
- Make sandwiches using bread, peanut butter and jam and soak in above mixture for 30 minutes. Turn the sandwiches over after 15 minutes to allow for even absorbtion of the cream mixture. Take 1 tablespoon of butter and add to hot skillet. When butter is melted add one sandwich. Sauté for 5 minutes on each side. Repeat with rest of sandwiches. PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICH CAKE

- Butter a 9-inch-square cake pan, line with parchment, then butter again and dust with flour. Make the cake mix and fill the pan three-quarters full (you'll have batter left over). Bake at 350 degrees F until a toothpick comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
- Let the cake cool in the pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack and let cool completely. Transfer the cake to a work surface. Trim off the top using a serrated knife, then slice the cake in half horizontally.
- Beat the butter and peanut butter with a mixer until smooth. Alternate adding the confectioners' sugar and milk, beating after each addition, until the frosting is fluffy and smooth. In another bowl, whisk the grape jelly until it is loose and spreadable.
- Spread a thick layer of peanut butter frosting on the bottom cake half.
- Spread the grape jelly on top of the peanut butter frosting, making sure to reach the edges. Top with the remaining cake layer.
- Cut the cake in half diagonally and transfer to a serving plate. Separate the halves slightly to show the filling.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Butter one side of the bread slices and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Put the bread on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Turn the oven to broil and and broil until the sugar has melted and starts to bubble. This won't take long, so don't walk away, watch it closely. Remove from oven.
