Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • In large bowl, combine melted butter, sugars, egg, flour and vanilla; mix well.
  • Add pecans; mix well.
  • Drop dough by tablespoons 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 12-15 minutes. Cool 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
  • Cool slightly; sprinkle with powdered sugar.

A Pampered Chef consultant demonstrated this recipe at one of my Pampered Chef kitchen shows. It was a big hit with all my guest! Perfect for any chocolate craving!!!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 dash salt
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, melt butter and chocolate chips over medium heat.
  • Stir until blended and add brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.
  • Boil 5 minutes.
  • Add evaporated milk, pecans, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir and boil 1 minute longer.
  • Cool a little and serve warm on top of ice cream or a brownie sundae!

This recipe makes a good cookie, but rather rich!

½ cup butter
⅔ cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon maple flavored extract
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup pecan halves

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg, vanilla and maple flavoring. Beat in salt and flour until a smooth dough is formed. Shape dough into a log 12 inches long, wrap in wax paper, and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice dough into 1/4 inch slices. Place slices on cookie sheet. Top each cookie with a pecan half. Bake for 10 minutes in preheated oven, or until golden brown.
