AMAZING Paleo & Whole30 Bacon Wrapped Asparagus, baked to absolute PERFECTION and topped with crunch salt flakes and fresh pepper!

Ingredients

24 stalks fresh asparagus, (end trimmed)
8 slices bacon, (whole30 approved)
1 pinch sea salt flakes
1 pinch fresh black pepper

Steps:

Pre-heat oven to 400F degrees. Line a medium baking sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside
Gather 3 asparagus stalks at a time and wrap with a slice of bacon, starting from the bottom. Place bacon wrapped asparagus bundle bacon-ends side down. Repeat until done
Bake for 16 minutes. I did not need to turn. When done switch oven setting to broiler and cook for 2-3 minutes depending on your preference of crispiness.

16 fresh asparagus spires, trimmed
16 thin bacon slices
1 tbsp olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

Preheat oven to 425°F. Wrap each bacon slice tightly around an asparagus stalk.Place, seam side down, in a baking dish.Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Brush with olive oil. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender.Serve warm.
