This easy sesame recipe is both quick and delicous!

3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 egg
1 pound chicken breast (diced)
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
¼ cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
¾ cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted)

Steps:

  • Toss chicken with egg, cornstarch and soy sauce. Refrigerate 15 minutes.
  • Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken in batches and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  • Add sauce and simmer until thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

2 -3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 -2 tablespoon reduced-calorie margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Combine sesame seeds, flour, and pepper.
  • Dip chicken breasts in soy sauce. Dredge in sesame seed mixture.
  • Arrange chicken in pan. Drizzle margarine over chicken.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until done.

1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 bone-in chicken breasts, skin removed
1/4 cup margarine, melted or 1/4 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Combine the sesame seeds, flour and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  • Dip the chicken in the soy sauce, dredge in the sesame seed mixture.
  • Arrange the chicken, bone side down, in a large shallow baking dish.
  • Drizzle with the margarine.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until chicken is done.

15 wheat crackers crushed (about 1/2 cup)
1/2 teaspoon tarragon dried, crushed
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1/8 teaspoon salt
dash black pepper
4 chicken drumsticks and thighs (about 2 1/2 lb. total)
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • * Preparation Time: 15 minutes Storage Time: Up to 24 hours Baking Time: 1 hour In a small skillet over medium-high heat, cook sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool slightly.In a shallow dish, mix cracker crumbs, sesame seeds, tarragon, garlic salt and pepper set aside.In a second shallow dish, beat egg, water, salt and pepper set aside.Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry. Remove skin if desired. Dip each piece in egg mixture, then in cracker mixture, turning to coat evenly. Place in an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.Bell: Drizzle chicken with oil. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 375° oven for 1 hour or until chicken is no longer pink along bone and juices run clear.

Many times I've taken this dish to church dinners and I'm always asked for the recipe. It's a super appetizer for any gathering.

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons sesame or olive oil
4 green onions with tops, sliced
1/2 medium onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 to 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Dash pepper
2-1/2 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • In a large plastic bag or glass dish, combine the first nine ingredients. Add chicken wings; coat well. Cover and refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight, turning occasionally. Remove chicken to a shallow rack in a baking pan; discard marinade. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Turn and bake about 20 minutes longer or until tender.

  • Mix the chicken with the cornstarch, sesame paste, salt, and Shaoxing wine and set aside for 20 minutes. Then mix the flour, sesame seeds, and white pepper in a separate bowl. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees.
  • Use your hands to mix the chicken and marinade until there is no standing liquid. Dredge the chicken pieces in the dry mixture, and place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or nonstick foil. Bake at 475 degrees for 8 minutes on the top rack. Flip the chicken pieces and broil on low for 3 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven.
  • Heat your wok to medium heat and add oil and garlic. Stir for 5 seconds, and then add the Shaoxing wine. After another 5 seconds, immediately add the chicken stock, rice wine vinegar, sugar, soy sauces, and sesame oil until everything’s at a simmer.
  • Gradually add the cornstarch slurry to the sauce while stirring constantly. Let simmer for 20 seconds. The sauce should be thick enough to coat a spoon. Add the chicken and scallions and toss until coated with sauce. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
