6 cups cold water
2 cups lemon juice (8 to 10 lemons)
1 cup sugar
Ice cube
Lemon slice, if desired
Maraschino cherry with stem, if desired

Steps:

  • Mix water, lemon juice and sugar in large pitcher until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate about 3 hours or until chilled if desired.
  • Serve lemonade over ice. Garnish each serving with a lemon slice and cherry.

This is the best Lemonade recipe ever! I have tried many, many recipes, but this one is always the favourite with everyone! It is an adaption of a Laura Ingalls Wilder recipe so it is a real classic!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
3 lemons
3 cups cold water
1 drop food coloring (optional)
5 -10 ice cubes (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix sugar and boiling water in a bowl and mix until all the sugar has dissolved. Set aside.
  • Juice lemons into a separate bowl.
  • Strain lemon juice into water and sugar mixture and stir.
  • Pour mixture into a litre container (or similar) and fill with cold water (around 3 cups).
  • Add food colouring and ice if desired.

6 lemons
1 cup white sugar
6 cups cold water

Steps:

  • Juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice. To make your labor easier, FIRMLY roll the lemons between your hand and counter top before cutting in half and juicing.
  • In a gallon pitcher combine 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, and 6 cups cold water. Stir. Adjust water to taste. Chill and serve over ice.
