This is the best Lemonade recipe ever! I have tried many, many recipes, but this one is always the favourite with everyone! It is an adaption of a Laura Ingalls Wilder recipe so it is a real classic!

Steps:
- Mix sugar and boiling water in a bowl and mix until all the sugar has dissolved. Set aside.
- Juice lemons into a separate bowl.
- Strain lemon juice into water and sugar mixture and stir.
- Pour mixture into a litre container (or similar) and fill with cold water (around 3 cups).
- Add food colouring and ice if desired.

- Juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice. To make your labor easier, FIRMLY roll the lemons between your hand and counter top before cutting in half and juicing.
- In a gallon pitcher combine 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, and 6 cups cold water. Stir. Adjust water to taste. Chill and serve over ice.
