1 Reynolds® Oven Bag, Large Size
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 pound beef top round roast, 1-inch thick
Hot cooked rice (optional)
1/4 cup sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Shake flour in Reynolds® Oven Bag; place in 13x9x2-inch or larger baking pan at least 2 inches deep., Add orange juice, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, garlic, orange peel and crushed red pepper to oven bag. Squeeze bag to blend in flour. Add beef to bag. Turn bag to coat beef with sauce., Close oven bag with nylon tie. Marinate beef in refrigerator 1 1/2 to 2 hours., Preheat oven to 325°F. Cut six 1/2-inch slits in top of oven bag. Tuck ends of bag in pan., Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 145°F (do not overcook). Thinly slice beef. Stir sauce; serve with rice, if desired. Sprinkle with sliced green onions.

This does take 1 1/2 -2 hours merinate time in Fridg. We made this with soy sauce no peppers or green onions and it was awesome =) Also used lemon peel instead of orange. I like that you can change it around and its still a great flavor. We also used brown rice and have used fried rice both work well. =)

1/2 c teriyaki sauce/or soy sauce
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
3 garlic cloves minced
1 tsp grated orange peel
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 lbs beef top round roast 1 inch thick
1/4 c sliced green onions
hot cooked rice your choice

Steps:

  • 1. Shake flour in Reynolds oven bag. Place in 13x9in or larger pan at least 2 in deep

4 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
1-1/2 cups fresh baby carrots
1 medium green pepper, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch strips
1 medium yellow onion, quartered
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 boneless beef chuck roast (about 2 pounds)
2 tablespoons canola oil
8 ounces medium fresh mushrooms, cut into thick slices
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon beef base
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon pepper
2 to 3 green onions (green portion only), thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Place potatoes, carrots, green pepper and onion in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker. Rub flour over roast. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat; brown roast on all sides. Transfer roast and drippings to slow cooker; arrange mushrooms around roast and sprinkle roast with brown sugar., Combine teriyaki sauce, ginger, beef base, oregano and pepper in a small bowl. Drizzle sauce slowly over mushrooms and roast., Cook, covered, on low until roast is tender, 7-8 hours. Remove roast and vegetables to a serving platter; top with green onions. If desired, skim fat and thicken cooking juices for gravy; serve with roast.

  • MARINATE CHICKEN: Place all marinade ingredients (except 1 teaspoon of orange zest) in a large ziploc bag and squish to combine. Add spatchcocked chicken, seal bag and massage to coat well. Marinate for 4-6 hours or overnight in fridge or, quicker, at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • ROAST CHICKEN: Remove chicken from marinade, pat dry with a paper towel and place on roasting pan. Pour marinade into a small saucepan and set aside. Lightly sprinkle the chicken with salt. Roast for 30-40 minutes, depending on size of chicken. Instant thermometer should read 150F in thickest part of breast. You will finish cooking in broiler. Remove chicken from oven. Pour off grease from pan. (At this point, you can make the glaze and do the final steps just before you're ready to serve.)
  • MAKE TERIYAKI GLAZE/SAUCE: While chicken is roasting, whisk cornstarch into marinade in saucepan. Bring marinade to a boil and boil for 2 minutes until sauce is thickened. Lower heat and cook for another 2 minutes. If glaze is too thick, add a bit of water. Brush some of glaze over roasted chicken. Reserve remaining 1/2-3/4 cup to pass with the chicken later.
