JELLO SHOT ORANGE SLICES
I wish I had a picture of this! It looks so cool when finished - just like an orange slice but instead of fruit in the middle there is jello! Beautiful! This makes taking jello shots much easier too - no messy squishing out of little paper cups. Great for any party! Feel free to experiment with different fruits and jello flavors! Lemons with pink lemonade jello is great as well.

Steps:
- Cut the oranges in half. Scoop out all the fruit, making sure to keep the peels intact (I recommend using the pulp to make fresh squeezed orange juice or whatever else you want - mix into pancakes or pastry batter, make marmalade, etc).
- Make the jello according to package instructions (with the boiling water) but instead of using 1 cup cold water, substitute the vodka.
- Take out a cupcake baking pan. Place each orange half peel in one of the cupcake holders to make them stand upright. Pour the jello carefully into each orange half.
- Refrigerate for 4 hours, or until set. Cut the oranges into slices and serve!

JELLO FRUIT WEDGES
I made these fun little guys for my 14 mo. old nephew and they were perfect! Being so young, it was better for him to eat a "Jello orange" than a real one. These were a hit with the whole family--not just the kids! Originally I found the recipe somewhere online, and I have found that its best to keep to the orange flavors, as other rinds have a more bitter taste that changes the taste of the Jello.

Steps:
- Slice the fruit cleanly in half lengthwise (through the axis).
- Carefully remove the pulp while keeping the half rind fully intact.
- Ensure that the rinds are dry (you can use paper towels to blot them).
- Set each half rind upright in a muffin pan so you can fill it with Jello.
- Mix the water with the gelatin (just like you would to make jigglers).
- You'll want the Jello a little firmer than the normal recipe as you have to slice it in half again.
- Make sure that the gelatin is well dissolved, and then pour into the fruit before it begins to set.
- Fill up as high as you can, the Jello will shrink a bit when cooling.
- Carefully transfer to the fridge and let set for about three hours, per box directions.
- When the Jello is set, place the fruit open-side down on a cutting board, hold it's shape with one hand and carefully slice in half lengthwise again to form quarters.
- Be careful not to smash the fruit as you'll want to keep the Jello intact (you may use a serrated knife).
- Ready to serve!

WATERMELON SLICE JELLO SHOTS
Provided by Laura Gummerman
Number Of Ingredients 5
Steps:
- Use a large spoon or ice cream scoop to scoop out the inside of the watermelon and set aside (to later eat, of course!). You want to scoop out most of the red flesh but still leave about 1/2" of the red part above the white rind. Place the hollowed out watermelon on a cookie sheet with paper towels folded/stuffed on either side to keep it from tipping over.
- Mix your two boxes of jello with the 4 packets of unflavored gelatin. Add in 2 cups of boiling water and stir until dissolved. Once dissolved, add in two cups of vodka and stir to combine. Pour the liquid into the halved watermelon (fill to the top!) and place into the fridge for 3-4 hours until the jello is set. Probably the hardest part of this recipe is carrying the tray to the fridge without spilling it!
- Once the jello is set, use a large knife to cut the slices like you normally would. The jello fills into the watermelon some so the top level shrinks a bit. Just use the knife to even out any rind that sticks up higher than your slices, and you're ready to serve your shots!

Steps:
- Cut watermelon in half and line a large baking sheet with paper towels. Do this near the refrigerator so you don't have too far to carry it!
- Scoop out the fruit leaving about 1/4-inch inside the shell.
- Whisk watermelon flavored gelatin and unflavored gelatin into the boiling water until dissolved. Stir in the cold vodka. Pour gelatin mixture into the two watermelon halves and transfer to the refrigerator. Chill for four hours or more.
- After your gelatin has set, remove one of the watermelon halves from the fridge and place it on a cutting board.
- Use a sharp knife to cut 1-inch slices. The gelatin will be nice and firm because of the added unflavored gelatin in the recipe.
- Even though you filled the watermelon rind with liquid gelatin, when it solidified, it shrank too. You can trim the excess tips off of each slice.
- Cut each watermelon slice into three triangles.
- Repeat with second watermelon half.
- Cut limes in half and juice them, then scoop out the fruit. The easiest way to do this is to pull at the pith and fruit near the top of the lime half. It's fairly easy to pull out once you loosen it.
- Line a muffin pan with cupcake liners and place each lime shell inside a liner.
- Whisk watermelon flavored gelatin into boiling water until dissolved. Stir in cold vodka and carefully pour spiked gelatin into lime shells.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
- Using a sharp knife, cut each lime shell in half and serve.

- Cut each orange in half. Remove orange sections, leaving the cup of rind. Continue until all 9 oranges are cut in half and scooped out (so 18 orange cups are ready). Set orange cups in muffin tins to keep each upright. Set aside.
- Prepare six flavors of gelatin according to package directions, one at a time. With each flavor, fill 3 orange cups, filling up to the edge of the cup. Pour leftover gelatin into a food storage container and refrigerate to use as desired later. Repeat until all 6 flavors are made and all 18 orange cups are filled.
- Carefully place muffin tins into the refrigerator and chill at least 4 hours (overnight is better) until fully set.
- Remove each orange cup from the muffin tin and, using a sharp knife, slice into three wedges. Continue until all orange cups are sliced into colorful wedges. Place wedges on a serving platter in rainbow-color order (light to dark).

ORANGE CREAMSICLE JELLO SHOTS - A BEAUTIFUL MESS

- First you'll want to cut the oranges in half and remove the orange sections from the orange peel. You can do this either by scooping them out with a spoon or using a handheld juicer to first juice the orange as much as possible and then scoop out any remaining orange. Just be careful not to dig down too deep and make a hole in your peel—all your jello will leak out the bottom if you do!
- Boil your water on the stove and stir in your packet of orange jello until it dissolves. Add in your vodka, triple sec, ice cream and stir to combine. Pour into a measuring cup or some other container with a spout. Place your hollowed out orange halves in a muffin tin to keep them stable, and pour in your jello mixture to the top of each orange half.
- Place your oranges in the fridge for a few hours until they are firm. Slice each half into four quarters, and you're ready to serve! You can either serve these all on a plate together or in individual shot glasses with a rim of sugar around the top.
