Frosty layers of sherbet, ice cream and sugar cookie crumbs make a refreshing dessert.

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 pints (4 cups) orange sherbet
1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix and butter until well mixed (mixture will be crumbly).
  • Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture; set aside. In ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate, press remaining mixture over bottom and up side of plate; prick with fork. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, on ungreased cookie sheet, sprinkle remaining crumb mixture. Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until edges of crumb mixture begin to brown. Cool on cookie sheet, about 30 minutes.
  • While crust and crumb mixture are cooling, place sherbet and ice cream in refrigerator to soften. Scoop half of softened sherbet over crust; spread to cover crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup crumbs. Scoop all of softened ice cream over sherbet and crumbs; spread to cover. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup crumbs. Scoop remaining half of sherbet over ice cream and crumbs. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup crumbs. Freeze until firm, 4 to 6 hours or overnight. Let stand 15 minutes to soften before cutting.

1 1/2 cups (400 ml) heavy whipping cream (UK: double cream)
1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp (150 ml) whole milk
1/3 cup (75 g) sugar
a little less than 1 cup (225 ml) orange juice
4 Tbsp grated orange zest (organic)

Steps:

  • Pour the cream and milk into the blender container with the sugar. Then add the orange juice and zest and blend for about 45 seconds or until it's well mixed.
  • Pour into a metal pan and place in the freezer for about an hour.
  • Remove from the freezer and stir with a spoon. Repeat this two more times (twice in two hours.)
  • You'll see the mixture begin to take on the texture of ice cream. When it's ready, scoop into glasses, cups, or cones to serve.

¼ cup butter, melted
1 ⅔ cups graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons white sugar
½ cup half-and-half cream
½ cup white sugar
½ (12 fluid ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened

Steps:

  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter or margarine, and 3 tablespoons white sugar. Mix well. Press into a 9 inch pie plate. Place in freezer.
  • Beat together half and half and 1/2 cup white sugar for about 2 minutes. Add undiluted orange juice concentrate, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat for 1 minute. Add ice cream, and beat an additional 2 minutes. Pour filling into prepared pie crust.
  • Freeze for several hours or overnight. Just before serving, garnish with whipped cream and orange sections if desired.

90 (3 sleeves) buttery crackers (I use Ritz Crackers)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted
1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Lightly grease bottom of pie dish with cooking spray
  • In a food processor, add crackers and powdered sugar. Pulse until you have fine crumbs.
  • Using a medium bowl, combine melted butter and cracker crumbs. Mix until well combined. Test crust mixture to make sure it will hold together: using your fingers, pinch the mixture together, if it clumps together, it's done, if doesn't hold together, add ½ -1 tablespoon more melted butter at a time until mixture holds together. Set aside about 3/4 - 1 cup of crust for topping.
  • Press remaining crust mixture into the pie dish and set aside.
  • Using a large mixing bowl, combine orange juice concentrate, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt and stir until combined.
  • Add whipped topping and stir until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the crust. (depending on the size of your pie dish, you may have extra mixture. Set it aside and use for parfaits or a dip)
  • Top with reserved cracker crust crumbs by sprinkling over top of pie.
  • Place pie in freezer to set for at least 4 hours (overnight is even better), before serving. Store leftover dessert covered in the freezer.

  • Then put in the condensed milk in and mix the cream while pouring it in.
  • then squeeze all of the orange juice but make sure you don't get the seed in. You can also put in a squeeze of lemon to add more taste.
  • mix fast for 1 to 2 minutes and pour into a container that you can close to put it in the freezer. leave it there for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight. Lastly, enjoy your yummy product
