Orange Dreamsicle Ice Cream image

  • Add 8 cups of water to a large pot and bring to a boil. Boiling temperature is 212° F. On the box of the jello it will say to add cool water. For this recipe you want to make sure any water you add is all hot and not cool. This is going to help the sour cream melt faster, and have a better consistency.
  • After your water is done boiling take the heat off off the pot, and add in your sour cream. Using a whisk to help mix and smooth out the clumps. It is very important to use a whisk for better results. Be sure to mix until you feel no more sour cream clumps.
  • After your sour cream is mixed in your pot it should look like milk. Add in all of your jello mix and continue to stir.
  • Pour the liquid jello into little cute 8oz cups. If your jello starts to separate do not worry. This is a great sign as we want our jello to have layers. Stick in the fridge for about 3 hours or until it is firm. If you’re in a hurry you can pop them in the freezer.
