This Orange Creamsicle Salad Is the Perfect Nostalgic Dessert image

Orange Creamsicle Salad is basically a popsicle in a bowl. Here's how to make easy orange fluff or dreamsicle dessert recipe with mandarins, Jello and Cool Whip

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 small box orange Jell-O
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup boiling water
½ cup cold water
1 (8-oz) tub Cool-Whip
11 oz mandarin oranges, drained, reserve a few for garnish
1 cup mini marshmallows, reserve a few for garnish

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine Jell-O and boiling water. Mix well to dissolve. Add cold water. Chill for 20 minutes. Whisk in pudding mix until smooth. Chill for 10 minutes, until thickened. Fold in Cool-Whip, oranges and marshmallows. Chill until set, about an hour. Garnish with extra oranges and marshmallows.

This is a nice salad for brunch or barbeque. It also lends itself well as a side dish to Sunday turkey or ham dinners.The preparation time includes the chilling of the geletain.

1 (6 ounce) box orange gelatin mix
1 package Dream Whip
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup salad dressing (miracle whip)
1 cup mandarin orange, drained (reserve 5 for garnish)
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
5 -6 chopped maraschino cherries, drained

Steps:

  • Dissolve jelly powder in 2 cups of hot water; chill until almost set.
  • Whip dream whip according to directions, add cheese and salad dressing.
  • Beat gelatin into cheese mixture until well blended.
  • Add fruit and stir well.
  • Pour into glass bowl and chill until firm.
  • Garnish with reserved oranges before serving.
