Steps:
- Place chicken pieces in a saucepan. Add fusilli, onions, celery, and carrots, ketchup, thyme, salt, and cayenne pepper. Pour chicken broth into pan.
- Place pan over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until vegetables soften and pasta is thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally, 25 to 35 minutes. Stir in parsley before serving.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line the bottom of a baking dish with aluminum foil; grease with cooking spray.
- Spread chicken drumsticks in the baking dish. Add potatoes, onion, and carrots. Pour chicken stock over chicken and vegetables. Sprinkle paprika and seasoning blend on top. Cover baking dish with foil; poke a few holes in the foil with a sharp knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven until chicken is very tender, about 1 hour 30 minutes.

- In a large Dutch oven or soup kettle, brown ground beef and pork; drain well. Add water, tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, adding more water if necessary. Stir in dried onion, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic, paprika and oregano. Simmer another 30 minutes. Combine cornmeal, flour and enough water to make a thin paste. Stir in chili. Simmer 10-15 minutes longer until slightly thickened. Thin with additional water if desired.

- Microwave method: Combine all ingredients in microwave-safe 2 quart casserole. Cover, microwave on high 5 minutes. Stir to break up meat. Microwave additional 20 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Note: If beef is less lean. Microwave first and drain off excess fat.
- Stovetop method: Brown beef with green peppers, onions, and spices. Drain excess fat. Add beans, tomatoes, and tomato paste and simmer until peppers and onions are tender, or longer. Use water or (salt free) beef broth if additional liquid is needed.
- Vegetarian variation: Swap 1 lb. frozen vegetable mix (such as California blend) for the ground beef. Sauté peppers and onion in 1 tablespoons vegetable oil along with the spices. When onions are clear, add vegetables along with tomatoes and tomato paste. Use vegetable broth or water if additional liquid is needed.

- Chop your veggies. For super simple chili, I usually go with one medium onion, 2-3 cloves of garlic, and one small red pepper. You don’t need the peppers, but make sure you use the onion and garlic.
- Saute your veggies in a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of salt. This only takes about 5 minutes. You want the onions and garlic to be soft and fragrant.
- Add your meat, if any. This can easily be made into 4 step chili if you leave out the beef. We continually change it up, using ground beef or turkey, buffalo, or even chicken.

- Add your seasonings. I wish I could tell you to add a pinch of this and a dash of that, but I rarely measure when it comes to chili. I will give you approximations in the recipe below, but feel free to change/include/exclude depending on your personal tastes.
