This Olive Garden copycat Salad dressing tastes just like the real thing, made at home! It's paleo and whole30-friendly, and modifiable for AIP.

1/2 cup paleo mayo (see notes for AIP)
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp dried parsley
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper (omit for AIP)
1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional, this is to substitute parmesan cheese)

Steps:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Use a small tasting spoon to ensure the dressing doesn't need any more of a specific ingredient to your own taste.
  • Serve chilled over a salad or store covered in the fridge for 2-3 days.

1 (12 ounce) bag iceberg garden salad
1/4 small red onion, sliced paper-thin
6 -12 pitted black olives
6 mild pepperoncini peppers
1 -2 small roma tomato, sliced
1/2 cup crouton
Italian dressing (or use a recipe for Olive Garden's House Dressing)
freshly grated parmesan cheese, to taste
fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • In a large glass or wooden salad serving bowl, toss together the lettuce mix, onion slices, olives, pepperoncini, tomatoes, and croutons. Add dressing and toss to combine.
  • Serve with fresh Parmesan cheese and black pepper to taste.

1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved, or 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
¾ cup pepperoncinis
¾ cup large black olives
½ cup thinly sliced red onion
½ cup shredded or shaved Parmesan cheese*
1 cup croutons of choice**
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons avocado oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoon mayonnaise***
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, grated or finely minced
1 teaspoon honey****
½ teaspoon fine salt + more to taste
Pinch of black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the romaine salad mix, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, black olives, red onion, Parmesan, and croutons.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients.
  • Pour desired amount of dressing over the salad (recommend starting with about half of it) and toss gently to combine.
  • Garnish with cracked black pepper and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.

12 ounces American Salad Blend ((1 bag, I use Dole brand))
⅓ red onion (sliced)
12-15 black olives ((more or less, Olive Garden doesn't use too many, but you can add as many as you want))
2-4 whole banana peppers
½ cup croutons
1 tomato (quartered, (you can cut into smaller pieces if you prefer))
freshly grated parmesan cheese (for topping)
½ cup mayonnaise
⅓ cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons corn syrup
2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons Romano cheese
¼ teaspoon garlic salt ((or one clove garlic minced))
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon parsley flakes
1 Tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Place bag of salad in a large bowl.
  • Place red onion, black olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, and croutons on top of salad. Add some freshly grated Parmesan cheese if you like, and add plenty of Olive Garden salad dressing on top. You can add more or less of each ingredient depending on your preference.
  • Blend all ingredients together and chill until ready to use. The dressing will be more of a white color, but will taste very similar to Olive Garden's House Dressing.
