OLD-FASHIONED HOLIDAY FRUIT SALAD
I remember my Mamma making this every Thanksgiving or Christmas. It was a tradition that went on for many years. I found a handwritten version of this recipe folded and put in one of my old cookbooks.

OLD-FASHIONED WATERGATE SALAD RECIPE
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Make sure that pineapple is drained first.
- Stir to fold ingredients together so that pudding dissolves completely and the nuts and marshmallows are evenly distributed.
- I recommend covering and placing in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes to an hour -- I think it gives the flavors a little extra time to meld together. However, you can serve immediately if you like.

- Peel the oranges with a sharp paring knife. Make sure to remove all of the white pith. Next, section the oranges by placing the blade along the inside of the orange membrane for each section. Run the blade to the center of the orange and pop out the orange section. When you section the oranges, be sure to do this over a bowl to catch all of the juice.
- Place the orange sections in the bowl with the juice from the oranges and mix in the powdered sugar. Place in a serving dish and top with the coconut and if desired a Maraschino cherry.
