CLASSIC BLOODY MARY
Here's how to make the best Bloody Mary! The store-bought version can't hold a candle to this brilliantly flavored homemade mix.

- If time allows, chill the tomato juice and vodka. Shake the tomato juice before pouring.
- In a large cocktail shaker, combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, Tabasco, celery salt and black pepper. Shake well to combine (without ice). Strain into a quart mason jar or small pitcher.
- Optional: If time, chill at least 1 hour or overnight for the best flavor. (Or, make ahead and store up to 1 week.) But you also can serve right away!
- To serve, on a plate place a mixture of roughly half kosher salt and half Old Bay seasoning (or celery salt). Cut a notch in a lemon wedge, then run it around the rim of a glass. Dip the edge of the rim into a plate of salt.
- To each glass, add 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of vodka and 1/2 cup of Bloody Mary mix and stir gently to combine. Fill the glass with ice and add the garnishes.

Steps:
- Dip rim of cocktail glass in lime juice and then in Old Bay seasoning. Set aside.
- Mix V-8, lime juice, worcestershire sauce, tabasco, horseradish, and seasonings together in large pitcher. Stir in chilled vodka.
- Add ice to rimmed glasses and pour blood Mary mix over. Garnish with lime slices, olives, and/or celery sticks.

- On a small plate, use a fork to combine 1 teaspoon each of Old Bay, paprika, and celery seed. Run a lemon wedge around the top edge of two glasses, then dip the glasses into the spice mixture.
- Add the vegetable juice, Worcestershire, lemon juice, Tabasco, horseradish, 3/4 teaspoon Old Bay, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon celery seed and vodka. Gently shake the cocktail shaker (to avoid foam) or whisk the ingredients in the measuring cup to combine.
- Add some ice to the glasses and divide the Bloody Mary evenly between the two. Add any optional garnishes, then serve immediately.

- Moisten the edges of your glass with a lemon wedge and rim in old bay. Fill your glass with crushed ice. Add the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, Worcestershire, horseradish, old bay, celery seed, and hot sauce. Stir vigorously to combine. - Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Butter the outsides of the bread slices, and top both sides of insides of bread with the grated cheddar, half on each side. Place sandwich in skillet (I added a little butter to the pan too), and toast on each side for 3-4 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and bread is golden brown. Remove from pan, let sit for a minute and cut in half. Thread sandwich on a wooden or bamboo skewer for the drink!
