Easy Air Fryer Ham image

Make a wonderful brown sugar glazed ham with this Ninja Foodi Ham Recipe!

3 lb Boneless (Cooked Ham)
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
Olive Oil Spray
Parsley
Glaze (Optional)

Steps:

  • Coat the air fryer basket with olive oil cooking spray.
  • Place the ham in the basket, you can use aluminum foil and place it on this to avoid a messy basket if you are using a glaze.
  • Once the ham is in the basket, coat with brown sugar and top evenly with parsley and a coat of olive oil cooking spray.
  • Cook using the air fryer function at 350*F for 30 minutes.
  • If you are using the glaze, prepare the glaze while the ham is in the air fryer and add it in the last 5-10 minutes of cook time. Just carefully coat the ham with it and then finish cooking.

Deep-Fried Ham image

Turkey fryers are great for deep frying whole hams. Brine your ham overnight. While it's frying, make the pineapple glaze. Let cool slightly. Pour the glaze over the ham before serving.

1 gallon water
1 gallon apple cider
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup kosher salt
2 sticks cinnamon
1 (10-lb) uncooked ham
about 5 gallons peanut oil for frying
3 cups pineapple juice
1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • In a large plastic tub, place water, cider, 1 cup brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves and ham and stir until dissolved. Place the ham in the brine and refrigerate overnight. The following day, take the ham out of the brine and dry well.
  • Fill your turkey fryer with the peanut oil. Heat the oil to 375 °F. *Cook's Note: For a larger ham, use less oil as the larger the ham, the more liquid displacement there will be.
  • Place the ham carefully inside the fryer. There is a lot of moisture in the ham, the oil will bubble up intensely, so be careful and lower it very slowly. Cook for 7 1/2 minutes per pound. The ham will be cooked when it is 160 °F inside. Check it with an instant-read thermometer to make sure it is cooked.
  • Remove the ham carefully letting it cool off and drain of excess oil for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Combine juice, pineapple, mustard, 1 cup brown sugar and honey in a medium saucepan on low heat and let reduce until a syrupy consistency.
  • Let the glaze cool slightly and then pour it over the deep fried ham. Serve any extra glaze on the side at the table.

  • Remove and giblets and neck bones from the turkey cavity (many times the giblet pack will be tucked under the skin by the neck). Pat the turkey dry.
  • Tuck the butter slices and garlic in-between the skin and the turkey breasts. Season the turkey with salt and pepper.
  • Oil the basket to help prevent any sticking. Place the turkey legs down in the basket. Insert the meat thermometer into the breast so that the tip doesn't touch bone and the dial is easily read when the basket is in the cooker. Place the basket in the Oil-Less Deep Fryer.
  • Turn on the cooker to medium high cooking and cook for about 10 minutes per pound (14lbs.= approx. 140 minutes or 2 hrs 20 minutes).

Starting with a 6 kg fresh ham it’s recommended that you remove the skin but leave as much fat on it as I could – which amounted to very little but enough, I think, to keep it basted during the cooking and mostly to create a tasty crust.
  • 3. You may add a mustard and rub combo, like you might use for a pork shoulder or to suit your tastes, but for this long of a cook it might be best to limit the rub and surface material as it will mostly just cook to carbon crust.
