CINNAMON OATMEAL WAFFLES

Cinnamon Oatmeal Waffles image

This oatmeal waffles recipe comes out crispy and fluffy every time, and it's made with oat flour and no milk. This is my family's favorite Belgian waffle and it's naturally gluten-free!

Provided by Tiffany

Categories     Breakfast

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 9

6 Tbsp butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 ¾ cup rolled oats
½ tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1-2 Tbsp maple syrup (optional)
1 tsp molasses (optional)
1-1 1/2 cups water
2 eggs

Steps:

  • Melt butter and set aside to cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile, measure oats, baking powder, salt and cinnamon into the blender. Process on high until the mixture resembles flour, about one minute.
  • Add 1 cup water, eggs and optional sweeteners and blend on high* into a batter, about one minute.
  • Add the butter and again, blend on high *for about one minute.
  • Allow the batter to sit for 5 minutes and preheat the waffle iron according to manufacturer directions.
  • Stir the batter well. At this point the batter should be thin enough to *just* run off the spatula, but no thinner. If it doesn't, add 1/4 cup water and re-blend.
  • Pour the desired amount of batter** into the waffle iron. The batter will not spread on its own, so use a spatula to spread it all the way to the edges. Cook the waffle as desired, or according to manufacturer directions.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter, stirring well before pouring onto the waffle iron.

Oatmeal Waffles image

These Oatmeal Waffles are such a delicious breakfast. Light, fluffy, and full of flavor. Also, these healthy waffles are packed with oats and made without unhealthy processed sugar. Super simple and taste amazing.

Provided by Natalie

Categories     Breakfast

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 3/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup oat milk
1 medium egg
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted and cooled)
1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt

Steps:

  • Start with preparing and measuring all the ingredients. I like to use measuring cups.
  • Take the blender and add all ingredients. Note: add wet ingredients first for easier blending.
  • Mix everything at high speed until you get a smooth texture.
  • Taste the batter and add additional sweetener if you think the mixture is not sweet enough.
  • Let the batter rest for a few minutes.
  • Turn on the waffle maker and let it heat until it's hot (the green light must be on).
  • Coat waffle plates with cooking spray or melted coconut oil using the brush.
  • Pour the batter onto the hot waffle plates, close the lid and allow the waffles to cook. Depending on your waffle maker it will take between 8-10 minutes per batch.
  • Once baked, remove waffles from the waffle maker and place them on a cooling rack. Fresh baked waffles will be soft when you take them out of the waffle maker but they will harden as they cool on the rack.
  • Repeating the process with the rest of the batter. Make sure to grease the waffle plates before adding the batter to prevent sticking.
  • Transfer cooled waffles to a plate.
  • Add toppings (optional): I used banana, blueberries, and maple syrup. Be creative here and add toppings you like.
  • Serve and enjoy!

OATMEAL WAFFLES MY WAY

Oatmeal Waffles my Way image

I watch Dr.Oz everyday and his daughter made this, I liked it but I tweaked it to my liking and it came out good so I thought I would share. We all are looking for healthy food recipes and low calories so you will not go wrong with this one.

Provided by Jamie Franks

Categories     Waffles

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 c oatmeal,cooked
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
cooking spray
waffle iron
toppings of your choice

Steps:

  • 1. take a bread pan and spray with cooking spray and line with saran wrap then put your cooled oatmeal in large bowl and mix the other two ingredients in and mix.
  • 2. put oatmeal in prepared pan and wrap the top with saran wrap and put in frig. overnight. Take out and cut into 1 inch slices. Heat up your waffle iron and make sure you spray every time you start a batch
  • 3. Put two slices in waffle iron and close lid, now this will take up to 7-10 minutes to cook so that the oatmeal forms into a waffle. This also depends on your iron.
  • 4. Now pending on your taste you can top these with fruit, honey, syrup or whipping cream. You could also put nuts on top.
  • 5. just remember once you cut the oatmeal and each batch takes a while so I kept mine in frig till the first batch was done. Seemed to work better while they were cold.

OVERNIGHT OATMEAL WAFFLES

Overnight Oatmeal Waffles image

I found this wonderful recipe for Overnight Oatmeal Waffles on the web site onelovelylife.com, and it became a breakfast favorite since the first time we tried them! This recipe makes 4, 7" round Belgian style waffles. When I make a fresh batch of these hearty waffles my husband and I each eat 1 waffle. The remaining waffles go into the refrigerator, then the next morning I reheat them in the oven on a wire rack at 350 degrees for 11 minutes. So easy . . . so yummy!!
