BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIE
Butterscotch Brownies are an ooey, gooey dessert that originated in the Nordstrom's Cafe where they called them Nordy Bars.

Steps:
- In medium sauce pan melt butter, add butterscotch chips and brown sugar. Stir until melted (this may look a little strange but it will be o.k, keep stirring until it comes together)
- Remove from heat, add eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add vanilla and set aside and cool.
- When cool stir in chocolate chips, marshmallows and nuts if desired.
- Spread in an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake 25 minutes at 350.
- Remove and cool - they will be soft and gooey when you take them out - they will set up as they cool. Enjoy!

NORDY BARS
A homemade version of the famous Nordy Bar recipe from Nordstrom.

Steps:
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
- Add butterscotch chips, brown sugar, and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir. Set aside.
- Add the beaten eggs to the cooled butter mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the flour to the butter mixture, and stir until combined. Add in the vanilla. Set aside until completely cool.
- Lightly grease a 9x13 baking pan, and lay parchment in, allowing some to hang over the sides.
- When the butter and flour mixture has cooled, stir in chocolate chips, marshmallows, and (optional) chopped nuts. Spread in the baking pan.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 28 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before cutting into squares.

This is my version of the bars that Nordstrom used to make. Hope you like it.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 13x9 inch baking pan.
- In a medium sized saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat. Add the butterscotch chips and brown sugar. Stir until melted. Remove pan from heat and stir in the eggs. Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly and stir in the vanilla. Set aside to cool.
- Once cool stir in the chocolate chips, marshmallows and chopped nuts. Spread batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)f or 25 to 28 minutes. Remove form oven and let cool thoroughly before cutting into squares.

This recipe is from Nordstrom Dept. Store Cafe. their signature dessert bar from years past. I still make them, my daughters favorite.Great for bake sales, fundraisers, good sellers. :). They don't last long.
