1/2 cup butter
1 pkg. (12 oz) butterscotch chips
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pkg. (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Steps:

  • Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper or foil that has been sprayed with nonstick spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In medium sauce pan melt butter, butterscotch chips and brown sugar over medium low heat. Stir until melted (this may look a little strange but just keep stirring until it comes together). Remove from heat and add the eggs and vanilla stir.
  • Next add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well and then set aside to cool slightly. Once the mixture is cool, stir in chocolate chips, marshmallows and nuts (if using).
  • Spread into prepared pan and bake 22 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

1/2 cup butter ({1 stick})
1 package butterscotch chip ({12 oz})
1/2 cup brown sugar ({packed})
2 eggs, beaten ({room temperature})
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 package chocolate chips ({12 oz})
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup chopped nuts ({optional})

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
  • Add butterscotch chips, brown sugar, and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir. Set aside.
  • Add the beaten eggs to the cooled butter mixture and stir to combine.
  • Add the flour to the butter mixture, and stir until combined. Add in the vanilla. Set aside until completely cool.
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 baking pan, and lay parchment in, allowing some to hang over the sides.
  • When the butter and flour mixture has cooled, stir in chocolate chips, marshmallows, and (optional) chopped nuts. Spread in the baking pan.
  • Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 28 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before cutting into squares.

1/2 cup butter
2 cups butterscotch chips
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
  • Grease one 9x13" baking pan.
  • In a medium sized saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat.
  • Add the butterscotch chips and brown sugar; stir until melted.
  • Remove pan from heat and stir in the eggs.
  • Add the flour, baking powder and salt; mix thoroughly and stir in the vanilla. Set aside to cool.
  • Once cool, stir in the chocolate chips, marshmallows and chopped nuts.
  • Spread batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350° F (175°C) for 25 to 28 minutes. Remove form oven and let cool thoroughly before cutting into squares.

This recipe is from Nordstrom Dept. Store Cafe. their signature dessert bar from years past. I still make them, my daughters favorite.Great for bake sales, fundraisers, good sellers. :). They don't last long.

1 pkg 12oz. chocolate chips
2 c mini marshmallows
1 c pecans, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. 1. Melt butter in medium saucepan, add brown sugar and butterscotch chips, stirring until melted. Remove from heat. 2.Stir in eggs. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in vanilla. set aside to cool.
  • 2. 3, When cool, add chocolate chips, marshmallows and pecans. Spread into greased 9x13 pan.
  • 3. 4. Bake 25 minutes at 350*. Cool. Cut into squares 5. Enjoy xox
