This is definitly a bachelor/college worthy recipe, my husband introduced me to it, and he still makes it all the time. I actually love it, and who knows, you may also.

1 lb ground beef or 1 lb ground turkey
3 packages ramen noodles (any flavor)
garlic
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Brown the pound of ground beef, season the beef lightly with the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • While the ground beef is cooking, boil the ramen noodles until tender.
  • when tender, drain and place back in the pot.
  • When the beef is finished cooking add it to the noodles, then add the ramen noodle season packets to taste, and stir well.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 lb bacon, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 head cabbage, thinly sliced
salt and pepper
1 onion, chopped
1/4 bunch parsley, roughly chopped
12 ounces egg noodles
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • In large pot add olive oil and bacon, cook until well done.
  • In large saute' pan add butter, cabbage and onion. Cook until tender. Add a drizzle of olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer cabbage and onions to pot with bacon. Add parsley.
  • Cook noodles according to package.
  • Once noodles are cooked add pasta to cabbage pot. Add sour cream and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

My 2 year old son and I was hungry and hadn't went grocery shopping yet so this is a result of us throwing things together for a quick lunch. Turned out pretty good and both my son and husband love it. I am making it now every few days because they ask for it.

3 bag(s) chicken flavored ramen noodles, broken up
1 can(s) corn
1 can(s) green peas
1 can(s) condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 can(s) water
3 can(s) tuna

Steps:

  • Put water in a medium pot, filling pot about 1/3 to half full and set on a burner on medium heat.
  • Take you 3 packages of Ramen Noodles and bust them up. Set the flavor packages to the side for the time being, and add the noodles to the water.
  • Open the cans of corn and peas and drain them then add to the noodles. Let them cook until the noodles are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Once the noodles are tender remove from heat and drain the water off. Then add in the cream of chicken, 1/2 can of water, the flavor packets from the noodles, and the 3 cans of tuna.
  • Stir everything together and serve in a bowl.

This is macaroni and cheese with a few twists - the tang of yogurt and the crunch of sunflower seeds! It's full of protein and calcium also. If you need to, you can use regular white pasta. Soy sauce works in place of worcestershire sauce. Try it with different cheese, though a mix of cheddar and parmesan works well.

2 cups whole wheat macaroni, cooked and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
6 large mushrooms, chopped
2/3 cup sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons oil
1 1/4 cups cheese, grated
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup plain yogurt
2 pinches pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vegetarian worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Saute the onions, sunflower seeds and mushrooms in the oil until the vegetables are soft and the seeds are crisp.
  • Combine the noodles with the vegetables and seeds. Stir in 1 cup of cheese, eggs, yogurt and seasonings.
  • Turn into an oiled casserole, top with bread crumbs and 1/4 cup cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until firm and nicely browned on top.

It's a great idea to keep prepared veggies and cooked meat in the freezer to throw into a recipe at the last minute for a healthy, fast meal.

1 (3 ounce) package Top Ramen noodles
1/4 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup cooked ground beef (stored in refrigerator or freezer)

Steps:

  • Break up Top Ramen while it is still in the package.
  • Boil for 3 minutes.
  • Drain water.
  • Sprinkle seasoning packet over noodles.
  • Add peas and hamburger.
  • Stir and serve.
  • You may want to heat the noodles for a minute on low to warm up the peas and the hamburger.
