MILK TOAST
Our grandfather always made this for us when we came to visit during Christmas time. This is a great dish to make when it is cold outside and will warm your soul. It is quick and easy to make.

Steps:
- Combine milk, sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil.
- Divide milk evenly into 3 bowls. Tear toast into bite-sized pieces and distribute evenly amongst bowls. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

NONNIE'S MILK TOAST
It's a sweet treat. It sounded icky to me as a child but I skeptically tasted it and it's like cake. Wonderfully quick and easy and great when one wants a single serving of a sweet treat. My mother served this to me a few times as a child. I know she got the recipe from her mother. Both have passed away and I post this recipe in honor of those hard working women.

Steps:
- Pour milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Once milk boils, remove from heat.
- Toast bread and place each slice in its own bowl, large enough so the bread can lay flat. Sprinkle toast with sugar and pour warm milk over the bread. Serve.
