- Sauté mushrooms in butter until tender. Blend in flour and cook until bubbly. Gradually add milk; cook until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly. Add salt, celery salt, pepper, lemon juice, and oysters. Cook over medium-low heat until oysters start to curl up (about 5 minutes), stirring occasionally. Serve in mini-piecrusts or patty shells. If desired, garnish with parsley.

- In a large kettle, bring the chicken, water, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken from broth; cool. Remove meat from bones; cut into cubes and set aside. Discard skin and bones. Drain broth and skim fat; set aside 1 cup broth (refrigerate remaining broth for another use)., Bake pastry shells according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute the mushrooms, green pepper and broccoli in butter until tender; sprinkle with flour. Gradually stir in milk and reserved broth until blended. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add the pimientos, paprika, reserved chicken and remaining salt and pepper. Cook and stir until heated through. Spoon into pastry shells.

Steps:
- Bake patty shells according to the package.
- Sweat onions on medium heat until translucent in cast iron pot or skillet.
- Add chicken and cook for five minutes.
- Add celery, carrots, and mushrooms and cook on med-high heat for five minutes.
- Add corn and peas and mix through.
- Add cream of mushroom soup and mix through.
- Add one and a half cans warm water.
- Bring to a boil, cook for five minutes (add water if it becomes to thick).
- Stir in poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Serve spooned into patty shells and over white rice.
- Open a bottle of white (or red, or both) wine.

- Wash mushrooms; remove stems. Coat mushroom stems and caps with the flour; brown in butter about 5 minutes, until all moisture has evaporated. Add cream, sherry, salt and nutmeg; cook, uncovered, about 2 minutes, till heated through. JIFFY SHRIMP IN PATTY SHELLS
This is a great Betty Crocker recipe from the 1950's. Thanks to some very helpful people here on zaar I was able to finally figure out what a patty shell was so I could make this! :) Enjoy. P.S. I left the celery out of this because I don't care for it and it was still good.

- Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan and pour off all but 1/4 cup of the bacon drippings from the skillet.
- Cook and stir the onion, celery and mushrooms in drippings until onion is tender.
- Stir in the soup, shrimp and green pepper.
- Heat through.
- Crumble the bacon.
- Serve mixture in baked patty shells with crumbled bacon on top.
