2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
2 garlic cloves, halved
4 pork loin chops, 3/4-inch thick, trimmed of fat
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups white mushrooms, stems trimmed, cut into thick slices
1 small yellow bell peppers or 1 small green bell pepper, cut int 1/4-inch strips

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; cook, stirring, until golden, 1 to 2 minutes; remove garlic and discard.
  • Add pork chops to same skillet and cook until lightly browned, 6 to 8 minutes, turning once halfway through; remove chops and set aside. Increase heat to medium-high; add wine, salt and red pepper flakes, if desired. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring to loosen browned bits on bottom of pan, until wine is reduced by half. Add tomatoes and return chops to skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, basting occasionally, until chops are tender, 10 minutes.
  • Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in a medium skillet over medium heat until hot. Add mushrooms and bell pepper; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender. Add mushroom mixture to skillet with pork chops. Cover and simmer just until hot, adding 1 to 2 tablespoons water if needed.

When done right, these baked pork chops are fork-tender. Great comfort food for cold days! The cream of mushroom soup gravy is great on both the pork chops and mashed potatoes.

½ yellow onion, sliced
4 pork chops
26 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
¼ cup water
2 cubes beef bouillon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Place sliced onion pieces on the bottom of a glass baking dish. Lay pork chops over the onions. Cover chops evenly with cream of mushroom soup. Add water and bouillon to the top, breaking up bouillon cubes to get the flavor spread out. Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, stirring the gravy once or twice, until no longer pink in the centers, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a chop should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

4 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
1 pinch garlic salt, or to taste
1 onion, chopped
½ pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.
  • In a large skillet, brown the chops over medium-high heat. Add the onion and mushrooms, and saute for one minute. Pour cream of mushroom soup over chops. Cover skillet, and reduce temperature to medium-low. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes, or until chops are cooked through.

This is a super fast, delicious recipe. My mother made it when I was young and now I serve it to my husband. You may use boneless chicken in place of pork.

4 boneless pork chops (not the thin sliced though)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campebell condensed golden mushroom soup
1 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder on the chops.
  • Heat a skillet and add oil to coat.
  • Brown the chops on each side from 5-10 minutes depending on thickness,Cook until juices run clear then remove from pan.
  • Add can of soup and water to the hot pan and stir Sprinkle in rosemary Heat until boiling.
  • Put chops back in and cover Cook another 5 minutes on low.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes as the gravy is YUMMY!
