Provided by Julie Klink

Categories     Desserts

Yield 45 brownie bites

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 boxes brownie mix, prepared
3 cups white chocolate chip
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 bag candy corn, for decorating

Steps:

  • Prepare 2 boxes of brownie mix according to instructions on box. Pour into a greased 9x9-inch (23x23-cm) square pan. Bake according to instructions on box.
  • Cut each tray of brownies into 25 small squares. Form each brownie square into a ball, rolling in palms until smooth.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth, about 1 minute and 30 seconds total.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the milk chocolate chips and microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth, about 1 minute and 30 seconds total.
  • Turn a plastic sandwich bag inside out and hold it from the inside with one hand. Spoon ¼ of the white chocolate into the bag. Turn the bag back out making sure chocolate does not fall out the opening. Seal it closed. Cut the corner of the bag, keeping in mind the more you cut off the larger your piping hole will be. Repeat with all of the milk chocolate.
  • Coat the brownie balls in the melted white chocolate using a fork. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and chill until chocolate has hardened, about 20 minutes.
  • Place one of the white chocolate brownie bites onto a clean surface.
  • Cut the white tips off 2 candy corns, cut each of those tips in half, these will be your mummy's teeth.
  • Using the milk chocolate pipe 2 dots on the upper half of the brownie bite for the eyes.
  • Using the white chocolate pipe a line for the mouth. Evenly place each candy corn piece for each tooth on the line.
  • Zig zag the white chocolate around the brownie bite making sure not to cover the eyes or teeth.
  • Enjoy!

MUMMY BROWNIE BITES

Mummy Brownie Bites image

These Mummy Brownie Bites are swathed with bandages made from cream cheese frosting, but there's no hiding the scrumptiousness within!

Provided by My Food and Family

Categories     Home

Time 1h10m

Yield 24 brownie bites

Number Of Ingredients 12

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 oz. BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate or BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
4 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two 12-cup muffin pans with either paper liners or aluminum foil*. In a medium bowl, combine salt, flour, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
  • In a larger, microwave safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate in 25 second intervals until melted. Whisk smooth, then whisk in both sugars. Whisk in eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
  • Slowly whisk in flour mixture until a thick, smooth batter forms. Fill each cavity in the muffin pan with a scant 1/4 cup of batter.
  • Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a brownie comes out clean. Let cool in pan for several minutes before carefully removing to a wire rack, removing the foil or paper liners, and cooling completely before decorating.
  • For the frosting:
  • Beat butter and cream cheese until fully combined and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and beat until thick frosting comes together.
  • Decorate: Place two round colored candies in the center of your brownies. Fill a clean, empty KRAFT Mayo jar with the prepared frosting (or use a piping bag and flat piping tip) and create frosting "bandages" across your mummy brownies.
  • *Note: I cut squares of foil and pushed them into the cupcake cavities because I wanted smooth edges. However, traditional cupcake liners will be fine if you don't mind the ridges they leave once you remove them.

  • Fill a bag with about 3/4 cup of vanilla frosting and cut a medium-large hole in the corner of the bag. On the top of 6 brownies make a tall swirl of frosting, starting at the brownie top and ending at the top of the ghost. Add 2 edible eyeballs.
  • Working one brownie at a time, spread about a teaspoon of chocolate frosting over the top of 6 brownies. Fill a bag with about a 1/2 cup of vanilla frosting and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Starting on the outer edge of the brownie, make a swirl of vanilla frosting that ends in the middle of the brownie. Take a tooth pick and begin at the middle of the swirl/brownie, pull the tooth pick from the middle toward the outer edge of brownie. Continue to do so 5-6 times, being sure to clean the tooth pick with a paper towel each time.
  • Spread about a teaspoon of vanilla frosting over the top of 6 brownies. Using the same bag of vanilla frosting that we used for the spider webs, make a zigzag pattern that starts at the top of the brownie and stops at the bottom. Do it a second time going in the opposite direction. It should look like a second layer. Add two edible eyeballs.
  • Spread about a teaspoon of vanilla frosting over the top of 6 brownies. Place a chocolate melting wafer in the middle of each Halloween brownie bite and into the vanilla frosting, so that it will stick. Fill a bag with about 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Cover the top of the melting wafer with chocolate frosting and cover turn over into chocolate sprinkles. Pipe 8 legs onto each spider, starting on the body and stopping at the edge of the brownie. To make the eyes, use a small amount of vanilla frosting and a small chocolate sprinkle.
