8 cups Dr Pepper
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. , Cover and cook on low until heated through, about 2 hours. Discard cloves and cinnamon sticks.

1/4 cup(s) brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup(s) lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon(s) allspice, ground
1/2 teaspoon(s) cloves, ground
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg, ground
3 - 3" - cinnamon sticks

Steps:

  • In a 3 qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover & cook on low for 2 hours or until heated through.
  • Discard cloves & cinnamon sticks.

When I was a teen back in the late '60's we would take Dr. Pepper and heat it on the stove, add a slice of lemon and boy was it good in the winter. This recipe reminded me of that and sounds interesting.
