If you can use home made muesli/granola, because some of the bought mueslis can be very sweet.I sometimes add some dried cranberries, about a tablespoon.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Lightly grease one or two baking sheets.
- Put butter, sugar and syrup in a pan and heat gently until the butter is melted Measure all the other ingredients in a large bowl and add the melted mixture, stir until well blended.
- Spoon teaspoonfuls on the baking sheet (s), making sure you give them room to spread Bake them for approx 15 minutes.
- Leave them to cool on the baking sheet for a few moments, lift them of with a metal spatula and let them cool completely on a cake rack.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 180C/350F (standard) or 160C/320F (fan/convection). Line a tray with parchment/baking paper.
- Roughly chop dates. Place in bowl, pour over water. Cover and leave to soak for 10 minutes+.
- Mash with potato masher or fork until it becomes a paste.
- Add remaining Wet ingredients. Mix well with wooden spoon.
- Add Dry ingredients. Mix until all flour is incorporated - should be a thick batter (see video).
- Measure out just shy of 1/2 cup (6 cookies) or 1/3 cup flat (8 cookies). Flatten to 1.7cm / 2/3" thick rounds. (Note 9) Bake 20 minutes until golden.
- Remove from oven, leave to cool on the tray.

This is a nutritious and delicious breakfast cereal. Use any type of dried fruit you desire! You can also use almonds in place of walnuts if you like. Wonderful when served in bowls with milk and fresh berries or sliced fresh fruit.

- In a large mixing bowl combine oats, wheat germ, wheat bran, oat bran, dried fruit, nuts, sugar, and seeds. Mix well. Store muesli in an airtight container. It keeps for 2 months at room temperature.

- Muesli biscuits Chef: Alison Alexander Degree of difficulty: Low Method: Pre-heat oven to 160deg.C. Grease biscuit trays or line with Glad Bake. Place sugar, flour and muesli in a bowl and mix together. Place butter and golden syrup in a small glass bowl and heat in the microwave until the butter has melted. If a microwave is not available, then place ingredients into a small saucepan and heat on stove. Mix together the bi-carbonate of soda and boiling water and stir into the hot butter. Immediately add this to the dry ingredients and stir to mix thoroughly. Place spoonsful of mixture onto trays, allowing room to spread. Bake in oven about 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden. Cool biscuits on wire racks until firm before storing in an airtight container.
