Dijon mustard
8 slices country bread
Swiss cheese slices
Bourbon-Glazed Ham
4 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 tablespoons butter
Confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Spread mustard on bread. Layer 4 bread slices with Swiss cheese, ham, and cheese again. Place remaining bread slices on top.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, turning to coat well.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. When butter is foamy, add the sandwiches, and cook, turning once, until golden brown on both sides, 6 to 8 minutes total. Serve immediately, dusted with confectioners' sugar.

6 small Chicken Breast (Boneless, skinless (plan on about 6 ounces of chicken per person))
2 Tablespoons Avocado Oil (or cother cooking oil (If pan searing))
1/2 Cup Barbecue Sauce ((your favorite))
1 Cup Pepper Jack Cheese ( (shredded))
1/2 Cup Bacon Bits (pre-cooked or homeade)
2 Tablespoons Green Onion (thinly sliced)

Steps:

  • Tenderize your chicken by covering your chicken breast with some plastic wrap and giving it a few good whacks with the bottom of a jar or heavy glass cup. This will flatten out the thickest part of the chicken breast and also break up the tissue just a little to make it more tender and moist.
  • Salt and Pepper the chicken
  • Place chicken on the grill or in the oven and cook. Use a digital thermometer and take off the heat when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Place cooked chicken in a 9 by 13 " baking dish.
  • Smother with your favorite BBQ sauce
  • Add shredded cheese and bacon bits.
  • Broil in the oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is golden and crispy
  • Add thinly sliced green onions and tomatoes. (optional)
  • Take the bacon out of the packaging and cut into 1/4? slices.
  • In a large saucepan, on the stove, saute the bacon bits for 3-5 minutes on medium heat until the bacon bits turn a light golden color and are just a little crispy.
  • Drain the bacon bits on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the grease.

3 eggs, beaten
1 ½ cups milk
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
8 slices French bread
8 ounces honey ham, chopped
8 ounces smoked turkey breast, chopped
12 slices Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet to medium heat. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture, place in the skillet and cook until lightly brown on both sides.
  • Remove bread from skillet. Layer four slices of bread with a slice of Swiss cheese, ham, Swiss cheese, turkey and Swiss cheese again. Cover with remaining four bread slices. Return sandwiches to skillet; grill until cheese has melted and bread has browned. Serve hot.

3 slices white bread
Mayonnaise, as needed
2 slices Gouda
2 slices turkey
3 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Strawberry slices, for garnish
Orange wedges, for garnish
Serving suggestion: Blackberry jam

Steps:

  • On a work surface, lay out 2 slices of bread and spread with mayonnaise. Top each slice with the 1 slice of Gouda and 1 slice of turkey each. Put the third slice of bread on top of one stack, and flip the remaining stack on top, cheese-side down, to make a triple-decker sandwich.
  • Using a knife, cut the crusts off the sandwich (this helps to pinch and seal the ends). Wrap the sandwich tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 6 hours. (Wrapping the sandwich in plastic wrap, compacts it, and prevents the egg batter from seeping in.)
  • Combine the eggs and milk in a bowl. Heat the oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Unwrap the sandwich and dip it in the egg batter, to coat evenly. Gently place it in the skillet, and fry, turning once, until golden brown and hot, about 5 minutes total.
  • Cut the Monte Cristo in 1/2, transfer it to a place, and garnish with the strawberry and orange. Spoon some jam over each 1/2 and serve immediately.

1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce ((if gluten-free use aminos or a gluten-free brand))
1/4 cup Worcestershire
1 teaspoon minced garlic
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/3 cup BBQ sauce
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
4 pieces of bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tablespoons sliced green onions

Steps:

  • In a large Ziploc bag, add the honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire, and garlic. Add salt and pepper as desired.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the bag. Marinate for at least an hour and up to 24 hours.
  • Preheat a grill to medium heat and oil grates well.
  • Remove chicken from marinade. Discard marinade. Grill chicken 6-8 minutes per side or until chicken is cooked through. Make sure your heat isn't too high or the marinade will burn.
  • Remove chicken from the grill and place on a microwave or oven safe plate. Brush each chicken breast generously with 1-2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
  • Sprinkle the cheese evenly on the chicken breasts and top with the crumbled bacon.
  • Broil the chicken or heat in the microwave for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Top with sliced green onions and serve.
