This truly is the PERFECT Key Lime Pie. It has just the right amount of lime goodness and the texture is smooth and creamy!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
5 Tbsp butter (melted)
2 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup key lime juice
grated lime zest for garnish
Whipped cream for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine crumbs, sugar and butter. Mix until blended
  • Press crumbs into bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie panBake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F
  • Combine sweetened condensed milk, sour cream and key lime juice. Stir until smooth
  • Pour into pie pan
  • Bake for 10 minutes in 350 degree oven, until tiny bubbles form on the surface.
  • Turn off oven and let pie sit in oven for 30 minutes - do not allow to brown.
  • Chill before serving
  • Garnish with whipped cream and lime zest

We had this pie in a Miami Beach restaurant back in the 50's and begged for the recipe. It's been a family favorite.

1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c fresh lime, key lime or lemon juice (don't use bottled juice)
wee bit green food coloring

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare 9" graham cracker crust, cool. You might like this Graham cracker crust better than the store ones. 12 whole graham crackers, crushed 3 T. brown sugar 6 T. butter 350 degrees for 12"
  • 2. Mix 1 can Borden's Eagle Brand milk with ½ cup fresh lime, Key Lime or lemon juice. Stir until it thickens. Add green food coloring carefully.
  • 3. Pour into cooled crust and cover with ½ pint of whipped sweetened cream (I like heavy cream as it holds up longer). Refrigerate. Best if cut after it has chilled well.

3 ounces lime jello mix
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
8 ounces Cool Whip (thawed (1 tub))
1 10-inch prepared graham cracker pie crust
Whipped cream (for garnish)
Lime slices (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Whisk the jello mix and boiling water until fully dissolved. Whisk in the cold water.
  • Fold the cool whip into the jello mixture. until well combined.
  • Refrigerate pie filling in the bowl for 30 minutes. Then mix again with a rubber spatula.
  • Transfer the jello mixture to the pie crust and spread so the top is flat.
  • Chill the pie for at least 6 hours (preferably overnight) before slicing. I like to top each slice with a dollop of whipped cream and lime slice.
