- Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 13x9-in. baking pan., In a large bowl, whisk the first 5 ingredients. In a small saucepan, combine cola, butter and cocoa; bring just to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened., In a small bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk and vanilla until blended; add to flour mixture, whisking constantly., Transfer to prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean., About 15 minutes before cake is done, prepare glaze. In a small saucepan, bring cola to a boil; cook 12-15 minutes or until liquid is reduced to 1/2 cup. Stir in butter and cocoa until butter is melted; remove from heat. Add confectioners' sugar; stir until smooth. Pour immediately over hot cake.

Steps:
- Combine flour and white sugar in mixing bowl. Heat 1 cup butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, and 1 cup cola soft drink to boiling and pour over the flour and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
- Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and marshmallows and mix well.
- Bake in a prepared 9 by 13 inch pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- While still hot, frost with Coco Cola Frosting: Combine 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 2 tablespoons cocoa and 6 tablespoons cola soft drink and heat to boiling. Pour over 4 cups confectioners' sugar and mix well. Mix in chopped nuts and spread over hot cake.

- Preheat oven to 350º.
- MAKE THE CAKE:.
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter melts.
- Remove from heat.
- Combine flour, sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl, stir in butter mxiture.
- Add eggs, and stir until well blended.
- Stir in buttermilk, vanilla, and marshmallows.
- Pour into a lightly greased 13x9" baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven; spread icing over warm cake.
- ICING:.
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter melts.
- Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar, vanilla, and pecans.
- Spoon immediately over warm cake.

COCA COLA CAKE - THE SOUTHERN LADY COOKS

- Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in a large bowl and mix well using a wire whisk. Combine butter, the 1 cup of coca cola and cocoa in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil stirring often.
- Remove from heat and pour over flour mixture. Mix with a spoon. Mix buttermilk and baking soda together and pour into cake mixture. Add marshmallows and continue stirring.(Your marshmallows will not melt) Add in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Pour into a sprayed 9 x 13 inch pan and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes, testing for doneness. Frost.
- Bring margarine, cocoa and coca cola to a boil on top of the stove. Remove from heat and add vanilla and powdered sugar until frosting is of spreading consistency. You can either stir in nuts or sprinkle on top of the cake. Spread over hot cake.
