CRUMBL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Crumbl Chocolate Chip Cookies image

A perfect Crumbl copycat recipe. What you get is a thick, chewy, and large chocolate chip cookie that tastes JUST like a cookie from Crumbl.

Provided by Whitney Wright

Categories     Dessert

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups unsalted butter (at room temperature)
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg (at room temperature)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups Guittard baking chips (See note #1)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • In a medium bowl whisk the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed (with paddle attachment) for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Add the egg and vanilla, beat on medium speed for 1 minute.
  • Add the dry ingredients and mix until JUST combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Using a ½ cup measuring cup, portion the dough into equal 1/2 cup size balls (I like to use a kitchen scale to get the balls equally portioned. Each dough ball should weigh 5-5.5 oz each). See note #2. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet. Leave enough space between each cookie, I do 2 per tray.
  • Bake for 9-12 minutes. The tops will be lightly golden and the tops set. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cookies to sit on the tray for 10 minutes (the cookies will continue to bake/set while on the sheet). Transfer to a wire rack to cool for at least 10 minutes before eating. The cookies need time to set. (Refer to the notes section for more tips).
  • Store cookies in an airtight container. See note #3

MOCK 'CROOKIES'

Mock 'Crookies' image

After seeing on TV that 'crookies' were the latest sensation in Toronto and New York, I thought I would see what I could do. These are so easy and a huge favorite with the kids at parties.

MOCK ENGLISH TOFFEE

Mock English Toffee image

These are so good, that every one who has one wants the recipe. I actually have had someone pay me to make them three trays, so they could give them out as Christmas gifts to their friends and family. They could be a cookie or candy. Tastes somewhat like a Heath candy bar.

Provided by Susan Murray

Categories     Chocolate

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 stick butter
1 c brown sugar
25 saltine crackers
1 pkg ghiradelli milk chocolate chips
1/4 c chopped pecans or walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 Degrees.
  • 2. Line the bottom of 9X13 Pan with the Saltine Crackers. Make sure the entire bottom of the pan is covered with the crackers. (depending on your pan, it might take more of less of the Saltines) Mine is 5 across, 6 down. Put the lined pan aside.
  • 3. In a sauce pan, melt the butter and brown sugar, on medium heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. When it comes to a rolling boil, cook for 5 more minutes, while still stirring constantly with whisk.
  • 4. Remove pan from stove and pour the boiling mixture over the saltines, covering all the crackers.
  • 5. Place in oven and bake for 7 minutes, or until the it starts to bubble. No longer, or it will burn.
  • 6. Turn oven off and remove pan and place on counter. Pour the entire package of chocolate chips over the bubbling mixture. (The crackers may bubble out of place a bit, so adjust them with a fork and push them down so they go to the bottom of the pan.) Let the chocolate chips melt. They will turn shiny when then they are melted. (I put the pan back in the hot oven for only for a few seconds so they all melt) and spread the chocolate chips evenly covering the entire layer of crackers and butter/sugar mixture.
  • 7. Sprinkle the nuts over the chocolate, and let cool. Cut into squares and enjoy.

Provided by Elizabeth Marek

Categories     Dessert

Number Of Ingredients 19

6 ounces powdered sugar
4 ounces margarine (or butter)
4 ounces unsalted butter (softened)
1 large egg (room temperature)
13 ounces cake flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 ounces unsalted butter (softened)
16 ounces powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 ounces milk
1/2 teaspoon electric pink food coloring (Americolor brand)

1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Add in your vanilla, almond extract and egg and mix on medium until combined
  • Add in your baking soda, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and cornstarch and mix until combined
  • Switch to the paddle attachment and mix in your cake flour just until combined. Do not overmix (or you can do this by hand)

  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 2 hours (or up to 24 hours)
  • Preheat your oven to 375ºF
  • Roll the chilled dough into balls and then flatten with your fingers into cookies that are about 1/2" thick and 3" wide. Arrange on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake your cookies for 8-9 minutes or just until the sheen disappears from the top of the cookie. Place onto a cooling rack to cool fully before frosting with buttercream and finishing with sprinkles
  • Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze
  • In the bowl of your stand mixer (or using a hand mixer) cream your butter until smooth using the whisk attachment
  • Start adding your powdered sugar while mixing on low until it's all incorporated.
  • Add in your vanilla, milk, salt, and food coloring and mix until smooth.
  • Pipe on top of the cookies with a round tip (I used an 804) and top with sprinkles
