HOMEMADE PEPPERMINT MOCHA CREAMER

Homemade Peppermint Mocha Creamer image

My Homemade Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer is a cinch to make and so rich and creamy! Made with all natural ingredients, it's make ahead and cheaper too!

Provided by Brenda Thompson

Categories     Beverage

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 ½ cups 2% milk (or milk of your choice--I like fat free but 2% is a bit creamier. Almond or oat milk also tastes good!)
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon peppermint extract (be sure to get the peppermint, not spearmint!)
3 tablespoons baking cocoa (make sure it's not the hot cocoa drink mix)

Steps:

  • In a blender jar, add milk, sweetened condensed milk, baking cocoa, vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  • Blend all ingredients on medium speed until fully blended...about a minute.
  • Transfer creamer mixture to an airtight container and store in refrigerator for up to a week (if it lasts that long!) You will need to stir the mixture each time before serving to blend everything together again.
  • Add 2 ounces (¼ cup) creamer and 12 ounces brewed coffee to a cup. You may need to heat the coffee with creamer if it cools it down more than you'd like.
  • If using frozen creamer "cups" from baking cups, Use one "muffin cup" per 12 ounces of coffee or cocoa.

MOCHA COFFEE CREAMER

Mocha Coffee Creamer image

Wonderful Christmas gift ideas, flavored coffee creamers to go along with pretty coffee cups and your favorite coffee blend. Adding the liquid extracts to the dry ingredients should not be worrisome with this helpful tip. Place dry ingredients in a jar, sprinkle the wet ingredients over the dry, close lid tightly and shake well for about 20-30 seconds. Include a card with instructions, 1-2 tablespoons of creamer per mug and your gift is ready for giving. This recipe was adapted from a cooking information and recipe website.

SUGAR FREE DARK CHOCOLATE MOCHA DREAM COFFEE

Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Mocha Dream Coffee image

This is a modified hot cocoa recipe. It is rich with dark cocoa and is sinfully delicious in your coffee cup. If you like creamer, add it to your coffee BEFORE this mixture. It is dark and deep and you will find it impossible to gauge how much creamer you need. The yield of the recipe depends on how much you use for cup. I prefer a lot of it. Make sure you have a freezer bag to keep the extra in between cups.

Time 20m

Yield 1 cup, 10-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups coffee creamer
4 cups Splenda sugar substitute
1 1/2 cups dark cocoa powder
5 cups powdered milk (sifted)

Steps:

  • using a very large bowl and a sifter (or a blender if you don't mind powder residue in your hair) sift all ingredients together at least twice.
  • Make sure and mix well with a plastic or wooden spoon.
  • To prepare, fill mug 1/3 full of this mixture and add freshly brewed coffee. From a press pot if possible.
  • Prepare your coffee first if you use creamer. This mixture is very dark and it will be hard to judge how much cream you need by color.
  • (to use as hot cocoa, substitute hot water for coffee).

  • Add dates and hot water to a high-speed blender or food processor. If your dates are a little dry, allow them to soak for 10 – 15 minutes so that they’ll be easier to blend. Otherwise, process until dates have broken down and turned into a smooth paste, scraping down the sides of your blender as necessary.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, and continue processing until everything is fully combined and mixture becomes smooth. Adjust peppermint and cocoa to taste.
  • Transfer creamer to an airtight container. You can run it through a fine mesh strainer to ensure no bigger pieces of dates remain, but it shouldn’t be necessary with a high-speed blender or food processor. Store in fridge for up to a week. Creamer will thicken as it sits.
