1/2 c. mayonnaise
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 c. shredded cheddar, divided
1 c. chopped ham
2 tsp. garlic powder
10 dashes Frank's Red Hot
5 dashes Worcestershire sauce
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 loaf French bread
Sliced green onions, for garnish
Crackers, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350º.
  • In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, 2 cups cheddar, ham, garlic powder, hot sauce, and Worcestershire until fully mixed, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Hollow out the inside of the bread with a serrated knife and slice hollowed bread into cubes. Scoop dip into loaf and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and bake until dip is warmed through and bread crusty, 28 to 30 minutes. Garnish with green onions and serve with bread pieces and crackers.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, chiles, Seasoning Mix and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese in large bowl until well blended. Stir in ham.

16 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese, (at room temperature)
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, (shredded)
1/2 cup ham (chopped)
1/4 cup green onion (sliced)
hot sauce (few dashes or to taste )
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (16-ounce) loaf French bread (unsliced)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Cut a thin, about 1 inch thick, oval slice off the top of the loaf of French bread leaving a couple of inch perimeter. Set aside top. Remove most of the soft part of the bread, leaving a sturdy portion on the sides and bottom. You can save the soft bread to use later with the dip if desired.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese (8 ounces) for 2 minutes with a handheld mixer until light and fluffy. Add the next 7 ingredients to cream cheese and mix until well combined. Spoon the mixture into hollowed bread bowl. Place the saved bread top on top of the loaf.
  • Wrap the entire loaf in a double thickness of heavy-duty aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Serve with reserved bread or crackers.

1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
2 large tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
3 tablespoons minced garlic (about 8 cloves)
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 lime, juice of
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 (2/3 ounce) package Italian salad dressing mix (such as Good Seasons)
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup red wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Combine first 11 ingredients (peas through Italian seasoning) in a large bowl. Stir well.
  • Combine dressing mix, oil and vinegar. Pour over pea mixture. Stir well. Chill at least 2 hours.
  • Serve with tortilla chips. Makes about 8 cups.

1 (1 pound) loaf French bread
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups chopped cooked ham
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup chopped green onions
¼ cup chopped green chile peppers
2 small jalapeno peppers, chopped, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Cut the top off the bread loaf, keeping in one piece, and reserve for later use. Hollow out the loaf to form an area for the filling. Chop the removed bread for dipping.
  • Mix Cheddar cheese, ham, sour cream, cream cheese, green onions, green chile peppers, and jalapeno peppers in a bowl; spoon into the hollowed bread loaf. Return the top to the bread and wrap loaf with 2 pieces aluminum foil.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut a hole out of the top of the bread and remove the soft inside. You can save the top of the bread to serve with the dip later.
  • Mix the sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ham, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce together in a bowl.
  • Add mixture to french bread.
  • Wrap stuffed bread in aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes or until warmed through.

1 (8 ounce) package shredded cheese (I use sharp cheddar)
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1 can chopped green chili
1/2 cup chopped ham lunch meat
1 round loaf Italian bread

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese and sour cream with mixer until smooth.
  • Add all other ingredients and stir well.
  • Cut top off bread loaf and hollow out the center.
  • Put mixture in the bread and put the top back on. (If you don't want to do the "bread thing" I have also put the ingredients in the crockpot on high till all cheese melts, stirring once or twice, then lowering the temp to low or warm settings to serve.)
  • Wrap in aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
