DELICIOUS MINUTE STEAK RECIPE

Steps:
- - Season the steaks with salt and pepper and leave them for about 15 minutes, or til you have prepared everything else.
- - Mix ⅓ cup of flour with ⅕ teaspoon of baking powder and sprinkle the steaks with it just before browning them. I sprinkle one side before putting them in the pan and then place it in the pan with the floury side down and sprinkle the other side.
- - Add about 6 tablespoons of butter into the frying pan and heat it on medium to high and fry the minute steaks for 2 minutes a side.
- - Slice an onion and layer it in a baking pan, then put in the steaks in layers with sliced onions in between.
- - Make some gravy in the frying pan by adding the rest of the flour mixture and about 2 cups of boiled water.
- - Season with salt and pepper and bring the gravy to a boil. Add bone broth (optional).
- - Pour the gravy over the layered minute steaks.
- - Cover the dish and bake for 35 minutes at 400F.
EASY MINUTE STEAKS
This is the easiest recipe. I serve it with mashed potatoes and warm rolls.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, briefly brown the cube steaks.
- Arrange meat in a single layer in a 13x9 inch baking dish and pour the soup over the top. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.

MINUTE STEAK GYROS (GREEK)
Next time you're in the mood for Greek food, but you don't want to slave away in the kitchen, try this quick and easy recipe. If you have greek seasoning on hand you can skip making your own; making this recipe all the quicker. Of course, you'll need Tzatziki sauce. For that see recipe#153803. Minute steaks are also known as Steak Ums.

Steps:
- Combine first 5 ingredients or use your favorate greek seasoning.
- Separate the steaks, pat dry, and season liberally with greek seasoning. Restack and let sit in refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
- Combine the stuff for the veggies in a bowl and let sit until ready to serve.
- In a non-stick pan, with a tiny bit of oil, fry the steaks in small stacks of 4-6 steaks per stack until brown. Remove and set aside.
- When all meat is cooked, slice the stacks into 1" segments.
- Brush the pita with olive oil and warm on a griddle or fry pan.
- Fold pita and pile on some meat, then veggies, and top with tzaziki sauce.

GRILLED SKIRT STEAK GYROS

- Preheat a grill to medium high. Make the marinade: Whisk the olive oil, garlic, mint (if using), oregano, paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste in a large bowl. Transfer 1 tablespoon of the marinade to a small bowl; mix in the yogurt and 2 tablespoons water. Add the bell pepper and onion to the bowl with the remaining marinade and toss; remove to a plate with a slotted spoon. Add the steak to the bowl and toss.
- Grill the bell pepper, onion and steak, turning once, until lightly charred, about 4 minutes per side for the vegetables and 4 to 8 minutes per side for the steak (depending on the thickness). Set aside to rest, about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, grill the pitas until marked, about 1 minute per side.
- Slice the steak against the grain. Fill the pitas with the steak, grilled vegetables, tomato and watercress. Drizzle with the yogurt sauce.
DAD'S MINUTE STEAK WITH GOLDEN ONIONS

- Mix the wine, soy sauce, mustard and sugar in a big bowl. Toss in the steak strips, season well with pepper and leave to sit and soak while you get everything else ready.
- Pour the oil into a large frying pan and heat it up over a medium heat for a minute or so. Tip in the onion slices, turn the heat up to very high and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring often to get the onions really golden brown. Take the onions out and keep them warm.
- Lift the steak strips out of the marinade with a slotted spoon and stir fry them in the onion pan over a very high heat for 30 seconds (do it in two batches if it's easier). Pour in the marinade from the bowl and boil for a few seconds until it sticks to the meat but is still juicy. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
- Toast the bread and then spread with the garlic butter and cut each slice in half. Overlap two pieces of toast on each plate, top with a spoonful of onions, then the steak and more onions. Put a little pile of watercress on each plate and serve straightaway.

- Combine garlic, oregano, coriander, salt and allspice in small bowl.
- Pat minute steaks dry on paper towel.
- Add steaks to spice mixture.
