1 can (8 ounces) unsweetened crushed pineapple
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt-free seasoning blend
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground turkey
1/2 pound uncooked chorizo or bulk spicy pork sausage
2/3 cup ketchup
12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, split
6 lettuce leaves, cut in half
12 slices tomato

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup juice. In a large bowl, combine pineapple, green onion, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Add turkey and chorizo; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into twelve 1/2-in.-thick patties. , Place on a broiler pan. Broil burgers 4 in. from heat 4-5 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 165°., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix ketchup and reserved pineapple juice. Serve burgers on rolls with lettuce, tomato and ketchup mixture.

I got this recipe from my coworker - loved it and then made it for my boyfriend. Now he loves it and I make it at least twice a month. You can eat this plain or as a burger. I recommend eating them with hamburger buns, mayo, lettuce and onions.

1 pound fresh tuna steaks, minced
1 carrot, grated
½ cup onion, chopped
½ cup chopped fresh chives
2 eggs
⅓ cup panko crumbs or breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
garlic salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together tuna, carrot, onion, chives, eggs, panko crumbs, and mayonnaise. Season with garlic salt and black pepper. Form into patties.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Arrange patties in the pan (only as many as will fit easily in the pan). Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

These remind me of my favorite fast food restaurant's little burgers! Perfect appetizer to bring to a party!

2 pounds ground beef
1 (1.25 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
½ cup mayonnaise
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
24 dinner rolls, split
½ cup sliced pickles

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Mix together the ground beef and onion soup mix in a large skillet; cook and stir over medium-high heat until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease. Remove from heat. Stir the mayonnaise and Cheddar cheese into the ground beef mixture.
  • Lay the bottoms of the dinner rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the cheese and beef mixture on the bottom half of each roll. Replace the tops. Cover with another sheet of aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the burgers are heated through and cheese melts, about 30 minutes. Serve with sliced pickles.

1 skinless salmon fillet (1-1/2 lb.), cut into large chunks, divided
2 green onions, sliced
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1/3 cup HEINZ BBQ Sauce Hawaii Style Sweet & Smoky
3 Tbsp. KRAFT Chipotle Aioli
1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1-1/2 cups coleslaw blend (cabbage slaw mix)
1/2 cup drained canned pineapple tidbits
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
1 pkg. (12 oz.) Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 rolls), split

Steps:

  • Heat greased grill to medium heat.
  • Process 1/4 of the fish in food processor until smooth. Add onions and remaining fish; pulse just until finely chopped. Spoon into medium bowl.
  • Add bread crumbs; mix well. Shape into 12 (3-inch) patties.
  • Grill 3 min. on each side or until done, brushing with barbecue sauce for the last few minutes.
  • Mix aioli and lime juice until blended. Combine coleslaw blend, pineapple and cilantro in medium bowl. Add aioli mixture; mix lightly.
  • Fill rolls with fish burgers and coleslaw just before serving.

1 lb mahi mahi fillet, cut into chunks
1/4 cup cilantro leaf
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/4 cup sliced green onion
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
1 garlic clove, minced
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons sesame oil

Steps:

  • Combine the fish, cilantro, hoisin, mayonnaise, green onions, ginger, garlic, salt and pepper in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped. Pat into 4 patties. Chill for 1 to 4 hours. (Or 20 minutes in the freezer.).
  • Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the fish burgers and cook for 3 minutes per side or until just cooked through.
  • Serve on toasted buns with mayonnaise and extra hoisin, topped with lettuce and tomato.

1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup pineapple preserves
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef and Worcestershire sauce in medium bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
  • Shape into twelve 1/2-inch thick mini patties.
  • Combine sauce ingredients in small saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Place pineapple slices on rack in broiler pan so surface of pineapple is 3 to 4 inches from heat.
  • Broil 3 to 4 minutes, turning once and brushing with sauce.
  • Remove pineapple; keep warm.
  • Place patties on rack in broiler pan so surface of beef is 3 to 4 inches from heat.
  • Broil 7 to 8 minutes to medium (160°F) doneness, until not pink in center and juices show no pink color, turning halfway through and brushing with sauce.
  • Season with salt, as desired.
  • Cut each pineapple slice into thirds.
  • Line bottom of each roll with lettuce; top with a burger, then with a pineapple piece.
  • Close sandwiches.

1 can (8 ounces) sliced pineapple
3/4 cup reduced-sodium teriyaki sauce
1 pound ground beef
1 large sweet onion, sliced
1 tablespoon butter
4 lettuce leaves
4 sesame seed or onion buns, split and toasted
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 bacon strips, cooked

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple juice into a small bowl; add teriyaki sauce. Place 3 tablespoons in a resealable plastic bag. Add pineapple slices; toss to coat and set aside. , Shape beef into four patties; place in an 8-in. square baking dish. Pour the remaining teriyaki sauce mixture over patties; marinate for 5-10 minutes, turning once. , Remove burger patties from marinade; discard marinade. Grill, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-9 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear.
