These Frosted Flake Chicken Tenders from Delish.com add a touch of sweetness to the classic chicken tenders.

1 c. all-purpose flour
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 large eggs
3 tbsp. maple syrup, divided
2 c. crushed Frosted Flakes
1 1/2 lb. chicken breasts, sliced into tenders
1/4 c. Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on top.
  • In a shallow bowl, season flour with salt and pepper. In another bowl, add eggs and 1 tablespoon maple syrup, then beat to combine. In a third shallow bowl, add Frosted Flakes crumbs and season with more salt and pepper.
  • Dredge tenders first in flour, then in egg mixture, then in Frosted Flakes. Transfer to rack and bake until chicken is cooked through and coating is crispy and golden, about 25 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix mustard with remaining maple syrup.
  • Serve tenders with maple mustard.

Came up with this after a bit of experimenting trying to reproduce a honey mustard sauce that I had tried at a restaurant.

1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
2 pounds boneless chicken thighs, cut into small pieces, or more to taste
3 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
¼ cup prepared yellow mustard
¼ cup maple syrup

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and coat the inside with olive oil. Add chicken and garlic; cook and stir until chicken begins to brown, about 5 minutes. Drizzle mustard and maple syrup over chicken mixture and stir to evenly coat chicken. Cook and stir chicken mixture over medium-low heat until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the sauce is thickened, 10 to 15 minutes more.
