Steps:
- Spray microwave-safe container (e.g. mug, ramekin, or egg cooker) with cooking spray or wipe lightly with vegetable oil. Sprinkle a few grains of salt into bottom of container (salt attracts microwave energy and helps to cook egg evenly).
- Break one or two eggs into container. Pierce yolks and whites with fork four or five times to bottom of container (piercing is necessary to prevent "exploding" during cooking). If using a mug or ramekin, cover with plastic wrap, pulling back small area for venting. If using an egg cooker, place lid on cooker base, lining up notches. Twist to secure.
- For Soft Boiled Egg: Microwave on High (100% power) for 30 seconds, or on Medium (50% power) for 50 seconds. Let stand for 30 seconds before removing plastic wrap or lid. If still undercooked, turn egg over in container, cover, and microwave for another 10 seconds, or until cooked as desired.
- For Hard Boiled Egg: Microwave on High (100% power) for 40 seconds. Let stand for 30 seconds before removing plastic wrap or lid. If still undercooked, turn egg over in container, cover, and microwave for another 10 seconds, or until cooked as desired.

MICROWAVE SCRAMBLED EGGS
Scrambled eggs have long been a staple for most breakfasts, and most people add assorted ingredients to make their eggs extra fluffy, but this recipe is your basic scrambled eggs with just salt and pepper. If you want to add anything, add butter. Unlike milk, which will dilute the flavor and cause rubbery eggs, butter will make them creamy. Don't want to microwave them? Cook them on the stovetop over medium heat.

- Grease a Microwave-Safe Bowl. One of the best things about making scrambled eggs in the microwave is you can eat them right out of the bowl you make them in.
- Crack 2 Eggs Into That Bowl. For a single serving, crack 2 eggs into your greased bowl and mix them up with a fork. You can use 3 eggs for a single serving if you want, or cook 4 eggs for two servings, but don't try to make more than 4 eggs in the microwave at a time.
- Whisk in liquid and seasonings. For every 2 eggs, you want to add 1 tablespoon of either water or milk to your bowl—the liquid is essential to keeping your scrambled eggs soft and airy.
- Microwave Then Stir at 30-Second Intervals. Pop that bowl of whisked eggs into your microwave and zap it on high for 30 seconds. Then carefully pull the bowl out, give it a gentle stir with a fork, and pop it back in for another 30 seconds (use a dishtowel or potholder to protect your hands).
- Add Cheese, If You Want. If you want to add some cheese to your eggs, add once the eggs are starting to set but before your last round of zapping so the cheese has a chance to melt a bit into the eggs.
- And Enjoy! Top your eggs with some chopped herbs or tomatoes or maybe more cheese and salt and pepper and eat them straight out of the bowl, or turn your round patty of scrambled eggs out of its container and build a sandwich around it with some bacon and avocado and mayo or maybe even some ketchup.
